Are all the signed recruits at Miss St still locked in even though Moorehead was fired? I noticed they had signed the 26th ranked class which is pretty good. Thanks.

I would like to see a position change to WR.

Waste of time, he's entering his senior season. He's still yet to get 150 touches in a season, despite averaging over 5 yards per touch in his career. I think Gray IS a better RB, but Chandler has played in 35 games and done well for himself, the offense starts rolling more and he'll have a solid season.

He's also had 3 different RB coaches & OCs while here, something else that can't be overlooked with his progress.

I can tell you this much our god awful Red Zone Offense is what started the Australian wild fire...makes me so mad to think of all the damn points we left off on the board this year.
As to O - I'm thinking getting used to Chaney's RZ scheme has been part of the struggle. Yes, we can't apply Maurer's struggle down there to the transition...but maybe at least JG's. We went from 48th to 112th in RZ TD% and OC was the only big change.

CJC's offenses tend to drag a bit in Y1 and take off in Y2. I think we'll be much more efficient down there in year 2.

2019 we only averaged 63.1 plays on offense, and the defense was on the field for 66.8.

Need to flip those numbers and we'll be in better position for sure.
I agree overall, though I would consider tempo as having so much to do with this (on offense). Outside of tempo, the main factor in extending drives and getting more plays is 3rd down%. We were actually 34th this year on 3rd down, despite 108th in plays run. 81st in TOs as well, probably the 2nd most important factor.

We were dead last in all of FBS last year in plays run. I think our tempo will simply play a big role in fewer offensive plays under CJP. Considering he skipped on Briles and Yurcich, I don't see us going hurry up anytime soon. Just have to keep converting 3rd downs and not turn it over.

This is my oldest daughter's motto in life!

Giants just hired him for HC. He was also mentioned for Mississippi St job. The Giants were even talking to Jason Garrett allegedly. So I know one thing... the Giants are terrible at coaching hires

It seems that the Haslaam's have taken control of the NY Giants coaching search. Look for Schiano's name to pop up here as well.

You can thank bob Welton for that 2017 class. Trey was coming regardless. Dude told joejuan Williams he was too tall to play DB in the SEC when he was begging to commit here.
Butch should've been fired before that class signed. Hard to land recruits that knew that before the ad.
