alright. good stuff. you think what he's done at the college level as a HC can translate to the NFL?I really like him. He's like belichick and a couple other greats in that he's coached every position on offense and defense. What he did at temple and Baylor was really impressive given the situations. Has a chance to be one of the best hires the last few years. Just a really good all around coach.
well, i mean i get why some are posting about this as being a neagative.
but what's reall the negative? they have several guys leaving for the NFL draft.
that's not going to hurt them in recruiting....lol.
they just keep getting 5*'s, and despite the story out on Webb, Evans etc...and any possible transfers etc.....the reality is they're turning in to a bit of a machine....
but, it could also mean people can't wait to get out of Athens and it's not what it's all cracked up to be.
it's a choice, and i choose the latter. lol.
AP said it again this morning on Swain....just a feeling, no real intel, but i think they're to the point that they aren't going to be surprised if he returns. From Memphis Mitch on VQ who is connected:
I talked to someone yesterday that said they think Trey Smith is leaning towards returning for his SR season. This goes with what AP said last night.
yeah, i mean once he confirmed he signed during that Marietta game, my gut said he signed with UGA. and pretty much checked out, save the fodder in that thread.
he's not coming here. lol.
and frankly, i'm just kinda sick of hearing about UGA. yeah, they got all those 5*'s but i'm not convinced they're managing personalities the right way down there, and ultimately, the culture isn't as solid as you'd think.
i freely admit that's what i hope and want to happen, and that may be influencing my opinion here.

not sure how i feel about Rhule at the Panthers. feels like we just went after a hot name.
anybody got anything that should make me feel better about this guy?
they've never recruited consistently at the level they have been the past 3 years.....if Kirby doesn't win a NT, ultimately, i think it's more of an indictment than Richt's lack of hardware. The parallels with Richt are so fascinating. They reeled in 5 stars before, and they will again. They're the in-state school for greater Atlanta, which is one of the most stacked recruiting grounds in the country. Like Florida, it's basically malfeasance if they don't reel in a top 10 class every year. It's interesting to see what they've done since they've run out of players that Richt and Pruitt recruited.
We beat them before. We'll beat them again. Yet, they'll always have the video clip of Walker and Bates to fall back on.
more good stuff. good.Jets offered him the job but he turned it down Bc he wanted to bring his whole Baylor staff. He also pretty much changed his entire offense from temple to Baylor. Temple be was ground and pound, 22 personnel then goes to Baylor and runs a ton of RPOs. I think this will help cam so much (if you keep him) or be pretty easy for a new QB to learn. You will See am offense very similar to what the eagles do with Carson Wentz.
Ruhle is also a tremendous special teams coach too. I’m not 100% sure on this but i think Baylor has been at the top or near it in blocked kicks and punts every year he’s been there.
I don't see why not. He seems very able and willing to adapt systems to fit players. Never been married to a specific system. Always has good defense and just has a feel of a really good coach. And I'm a bucs fan so I'm really not happy about this hire. Hahaalright. good stuff. you think what he's done at the college level as a HC can translate to the NFL?
Apparently 7 year 60 mil contract. I'd say he impressed in the interview. That's a monster contract for someone whose never been a hc in the nfl before. Probably has a plan for cam and a plan without cam. Hahahamore good stuff. good.
and yeah, that's the big questions now...staff and what are we gonna do about the QB spot? it's alredy started here, that what do you do if Tua is sitting there at 7? battle lines alredy being drawn amongst the fanbase lol.
i know this......they interviewed Bienemy twice, extensively, and one of the things he focused on was his plan for resurecting Cam's career. apparently had a pretty detailed plan.
and they didn't hire him.............so is there anything to that? nobody knows....but it's gonna be a fun 4 months.
