TN End Season Ranked?

Does TN end this season ranked in the final AP or Coaches Poll?

The bad part is: Tennessee beats all but maybe one of the teams ahead of them and I know they can beat Virginia

I voted yes for all the negavols.

I really don’t think much about rankings. Preseason rankings are usually hot garbage.

The only time rankings ever matter is when you’re ranked 1-4 going into bowl season. Other than that, it’s more about record, bowl tie-ins, bowl attendance, $$$$, etc

think LA, AF, SDS, LA Tech, FAU, UCF, WA, Texas probably get the nod over us in the AP - so we finish somewhere like 30th in AP, maybe 26 or 27th in coaches.

With the inconsistency at QB, I can't say we deserve a top 25 ranking. If we're undefeated by the uf game next season, we'll be ranked.

Yeah, this is a great point. There's no way that SDSU/FAU gain fewer votes than we do given their blowout, and I have a great deal of trouble imagining Washington and Texas not jumping into the Top 25. Tennessee closed out this season fantastically, but 8-5 with a bowl win over an unranked opponent isn't going to jump any ranked bowl victors and too few teams ranked 20-33 lost to give UT more than an outside prayer at #25.
