Maurer’s Instagram Post

He had the ball 8.5 min, produced those numbers and scored 3 points due to a personal foul by Trey Smith.

Once again.... keep up. JP has said numerous times that there’s always been a plan for JG to come in. Never the other way around. As I’ve stated earlier in the thread BM is a spread and attack qb where JG is a conservative, bunch formation qb. Those game plans can’t coexist with each other. So if there’s a PLAN for JG that means they are ready and he is prepared. If there’s NO PLAN for Maurer than that means he’s unprepared. Get it now or is that too complicated to comprehend?

Just to be clear. You are saying that the coaching staff game planned for JG in weeks when other QBs were starting?

I could be confused here so I want to clarify before I call you a window licker and mute you.

Just giving you the benefit of the doubt....for now.

According to CJP himself yes. Straight from the horse’s mouth. Mute away

It actually was. He couldn't have played again if he were in the concussion protocol. You are the ONLY person I have seen make that accusation of criminal negligence against our coaching staff.

Brian Maurer had two concussions in two weeks. Here's who decides if he gets to play
It was ONE that lingered. Not 2. And just so we’re clear a single concussion CAN be minor and the player CAN pass protocol before it’s healed. That’s actually not all that uncommon.

The amount of hits isn’t the debate. I wouldn’t even try and debate that. The subject at hand is BM was hit harder vs UGA than JG ever was singularity.
No, no flipping way. BM has taken a couple good hits but like I said, JG has taken the worst hits of any UT qb I can recall. Do you remember the hit he took against Alabama when his helmet was knocked off?

I do. In fact I gotta give you that one. Definitely comparable.

Point is they both got up un injured.

If “window licking” is taking the HC at his word I guess so.

Show your work.

I want to see you specifically cite a time and place or post a link to a video of coach Pruitt saying they are game planning for JG when another QB will start.

If you can't.....seriously....just shut up.

Anyone else notice Maurer riding the elliptical bike thingy on the sidelines after his extremely under utilized playing time? I saw Gray on it as well later on..for keeping warm or for working out a minor injury?

He said it in other post game pressers as well but here’s the first time. About 6 min in

Look as TN fans we love the toughness and resiliency of JG. But, even with all of that, if we had a somewhat more capable QB than JG, we are 10-3 and the GA State and BYU losses are blowouts and the bowl game is a blowout. Thursday night, JG missed a wide OPEN receiver on TWO different occasions that would have been TDs and instead threw into double coverage.. That has happened ALL YEAR. We don't hate the kid, hell, we love him for sticking it out, but we also know he isn't the answer to get us in the SEC East title hunt.

We feel like BM can with the small snippet he has played. He brings instant enthusiasm into the offense and you feel like their is electricity in the air when he takes the snap. He can, and will, run and make something happen. He also has a great arm, which gets him in trouble trying to fit the ball in a square hole. But, he will learn, we hope, to know when and when no to take the risks.

All of this arguing could be for mute if HB comes in and actually delivers on the promise he shows.

Listened form the 5:00 till the 7:30 mark.

ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE did he say....."even though Brian was going to start we only game planned for Jarrett.

You are 100% certifiably wrong in every possible way a human being can be wrong.

Just shut up.

And if you are so flat out stupid that you think a coaching staff cant have multiple packages for different personnel you are beyond the scope of this conversation.

That ISN'T AT ALL what I am calling this guy on.

Saying "we plan to play Jarrett" isnt the same as " we didn't game plan for Brian"

Never did I say he said “we didn’t plan for Brian”. You’re calling me stupid while putting words in my mouth? Maybe you should reevaluate yourself there buddy.

You very clearly said " those two game plans can't coexist"

Very clearly stating that if they game plan for one.. they dont the other

Stop crawfishing.

In fact what I have said on numerous occasions is that Brian plays much better when he’s prepared for the game. I appreciate your attempt to discredit me but you lost this one snowflake

I'm not attempting to do anything snowflake.

You are doing a FANTASTIC job if discrediting yourself.

When and why wouldn’t a qb be prepared to play? I hope he gets prepared for every game.

As an aside to the general audience, this thread has turned into a monkey at the zoo flinging poo.

You called me out on something and when I came through you switched the narrative to save face. Take the L and run along because I have yet to discredit ANYTHING I’ve written on.

Change what narrative?

Go back and read the post where I called you out.

You said "those gameplans cannot coexist"......did you or did you not?

If your contention is what you said.....and they game plan for one....by your statement....they cannot game plan for the other.

Therefore. By your statement IF they plan for JG they DO NOT plan for Brian.

So was your initial comment wrong or was your follow up wrong?

Do I really have to answer that? You can attend practice as a #2 all week. Throw routes on air and prep with the 2s and that’s as ready as you’ll get. But it goes even farther than that. When you have conflicting styles between your #1 and #2 one can’t effectively operate the others game plan. Therefore practice being tailored to #1 essentially means #2 is unprepared. Ask yourself how effective you’d expect Tom Brady to be in Lamar Jackson’s offense.
