Analyst would be great for Chief. Wouldn't have to recruit but still be involved with football.Maybe I'm just overly sentimental, but if we're looking to hire any off field consultants for defense, I say give Chief a call. Not wanting any third and Chavis, but the man was a hell of a LB coach. Think of some of the LBers he coached at UT. I'll always have appreciation for him based on that alone.
If he keeps sneaking in those candy snacks under @nicksjuzunk noseView attachment 251692
My prediction
Well he is Chaney's understudy.Tee has really blown up in weight. He needs to get ahold of my guy @nicksjuzunk
Think you’re selling Chief short a little bit there. In his heyday with Tennessee and LSU he was one of the top defensive coordinators in the game. Put several great defenses on the field at both schools. Hated to see his career end the way it did at A&M and Arkansas. Should have especially never taken the Arkansas job.Maybe I'm just overly sentimental, but if we're looking to hire any off field consultants for defense, I say give Chief a call. I think that happens quite a bit and is rarely noticed. I think they were gonna qb sneak it for the win and the line was just trying to steal a half yard pre snap figuring nobody would notice with how fast they were gonna snap it.
How am I selling him short? Because I mentioned third and Chavis? Even at the top of his game, that was criticized. He was a hell of a DC, but an even better LB coach. He coached up a lot of great LBers including Al Wilson, Raynoch Thompson, and Leonard Little. I'm not selling him short at all. I have great admiration for the guy, and would love for him to come home to the TN family in some capacity. Sorry man the lady friend wanted to be in five points. @Aesius showed me some pictures of you guys at intuition. Looks like y'all had a good time.Yeah, Catbone completely no-showed with jo reason why, except the girl on his hip. Guess he was scared to prove he is who he says he is, although @SSVol did vouch for him.
On the week of the MSU game, I was deciding whether or not I wanted to go to the game or pass. I asked my oldest daughter if she would want to go with me. Of course she said “yes” which was all the push I needed to go. I warned her that we weren’t very good this year, and it would be different from the other games I had taken her to (Indiana State, ETSU). She was unfazed and said she just wanted a day with me and going to Neyland.
On the way there, I warned her again that we very well could lose and not to be disappointed. We would just go and root on our Volunteers.
Who am I kidding? I was telling myself that.
Then, on the radio I hear Kesling interviewing Pruitt. Coach talked about how that the team was doing the right things and how he was disappointed it wasn’t turning into W’s. I thought to myself: “Surely results have to follow eventually. I KNOW he’s a good football coach.”
The rest is history, but to think back on that moment now is such a sweet thought. The juxtaposition of that drive to Knoxville and now is what it means to be a fan. You believe and hope against all hope despite the doubts in your mind that somehow, some way, success will be attained. Just like innocent, childlike faith, we push on because we have that endless hope. This year wasn’t what anyone thought, but boy, what a journey. No matter what the result was going to be, I’m proud to be a Tennessee Volunteer. It’s just sweeter to end it this way and I’m happy to see the results finally match what Coach Pruitt was talking about in mid-October.
Well, I’ll give you kudos that you have already learned a very important lesson...if your lady is happy, everyone is happy. Make sure you thank @SSVol, because if he hadn’t vouched for you and shown actual pics of you, I would still be believing that you are a troll rival fan.Sorry man the lady friend wanted to be in five points. @Aesius showed me some pictures of you guys at intuition.
