JG just can’t play good

Finally said something smart.

Don't forget qb rating.
2017- 128.7
2018-141
2019- 144

Steady improvement each year.

Now do starting win / loss record?

Oh wait, that stat isn't great for JG so we won't call it a real stat......

More interception, lower completion %...... Funny how much you touted those two stats coming into this season..... Crazy how quiet you are on those two stats now.....

His interceptions are up and completion % are down. You hyped those stats more than anything this past offseason. So much improvement. He even got benched for the first time ever..... So much improvement.

Trade off for higher ypa and more tds. Took more chances. He obviously still improved. One less completion and four more tds with 200 more yards. Qb rating rose.

We all know you don't want him to improve. It is a statistical fact that he has.

You can not find one college stat site that list wins under qb stats. That is my point.

If you find one that has wins then show me.

Statistics

NCAA College Football FBS current individual Stats | NCAA.com

2019 College Football Player Passing Stats | ESPN

Just do a google search and it is easy to find the all time winningest QB's...... Kellen Moore currently holds the record at 50-3 for his career.

Its funny that it is a record in the NFL, but because of semantics, it supposedly isn't one in college. However, everyone around college football shows graphics and uses it for voting on awards. But because K Town says it isn't an official stat, it doesn't exist.....

His stats are basically the same. Its the equivalent of a political poll having a margin of error +/-.

Fact is after 3 seasons, he has not taken a big jump. But for some reason, you think he will be the Joe Burrow of 2020 even though we lose 3 of our top 4 receiving targets. People have been wanting JG to improve for 2.5 years. He hasn't. Is he the best of what we have? Possibly. However, the production he is consistently giving us (less than 200 passing yards a game / 1.5 touchdowns per game) is not enough to consistently win in the SEC. That's why he got benched. For a 2.5 - 3 year starter, only scoring more than 24 points vs P5 teams 4 times is proof that he doesn't have it.

It is nothing personal, its business.

Wow they one more game than we won this year. Like I said very similar. Lets not act like LSU didn't have much more talent either. They did.

And those "ranked" teams included 7-6 Miami, 8-5 Aub who Jg beat and played better against, and 8-5 MSU.

So he beat one good team really. Or lets hype Aub and talk about how JG was even better last year.

You are wishing that he fails like you have been.

Realistically he had a year like Burrow last year. Facts are facts.

Real fans hope he breaks out next year, not fail and we lose but their choice plays.
No. Real fans have seen enough to know that he’s not good enough to lead this team to where it needs to go/return to. No one player is bigger than the program, especially when he’s the one holding the program back. Competent QB play in 2019 wins the first 2 games rather than lose them, keeps us in the game vs Florida rather than getting the hell blown out and it gives us a real, legit shot at a huge upset at Bama. It also would’ve insured about a 38-10 blowout win last night. Instead, we got inconsistent, baffling, wildly inaccurate Guarantano and it damn near cost us a win vs a very inferior team.

We just consistently won 6 in a row with his bad play, lots of schools wish they could be that inconsistent to finish out the season. We were so inconsistent that only 1 team in the country is going into the '20 season with a longer winning streak. 5-3 in the strongest conference in the country is too inconsistent as well, I guess you thought we were gonna go 8-0 in the conference this year.

Nothing like you making statements that are pure speculation on your part to make your big valid point, lol. You are king of what ifs and wouldadones. You guys want to argue and all your argument is that we can do better because you just say so. You really should go get you one of those 4 million a year coaching gigs, you could just walk around, say what you think would happen and just sit back and watch the wins roll in.

My expectation was an 8-9 win regular season. I actually thought our losses would definitely include Bama, Florida, and Georgia. Then a toss up game that could either way.

I also expected our offense to progress drastically with the hire of Chaney, the recruitment of two five star lineman, and the fact we had Jennings, Callaway, Palmer, and Wood-Anderson coming back..... We didn't.

The only saving grace is that Pruitt is a master craftsman on Defense. Our defense did more to win games than our offense......

That's one reason why I think 2020 will be a good progress year for Defense and I think our defense will absolutely be nasty in 2021.

What season site stat did you see qb wins under?

Waiting on the link. I posted the main ones and didn't see wins.

Weird

Google is an easy thing to use, but here you go : all time winningest qb college football - Google Search

You know who holds the record for all time wins as a college QB? Kellen Moore at 50-3.... Surely you don't need someone to help you. You can just google the Boise State w/l season records during his time there.

I guess you think ESPN showing Trevor Lawrence's starting record as Clemson's QB is some fake, made up stat too right? After all, if you don't agree with it, it must be false.

Being a real fan does not equal knowing anything about football. I was almost killed by some real fans yesterday when I made the mistake of vocalizing that I thought JG was coming back in and if Maurer stays and keeps chunking it there’s no hope.

You better straighten out Wikipedia k-town_king.

I'm trying to find out who they're compiling their unofficial stats from.

Go back and look at the play that started his period of bad play. The OL left a gap and Gray ran by and did not pick up the blitzer that hit JG’s arm that ended up being their first 3 points. Saw it on rerun this morning. Really plain. I would guess Gray should have protected rather than continue route out of backfield.
What does that have to do with anything? People miss assignments on every team in all games.

It was part of the body of work that folks are pointing to in this game. Maybe coach grades his body of work differently than folks on this board. Lots of his passes not caught were touched by receivers etc. Watch the replay. I have for most of the first half.

When are y'all going to learn that the self-proclaimed King is just a spammer? He's just one of those guys who gets off on being contrarian. It makes him feel powerful and intelligent to get under people's skin. He doesn't actually believe the crap he's spewing.

Yup. I've mentioned this before. He just takes whatever the most minority opinion is, and runs with it. I've seen it over and over. If Guarantano was playing really well consistently for the Vols he would be tearing him down nonstop.

He's a putz.

It’s like the announcers said last night. He seems to always be late on his throws because he doesn’t anticipate his receivers. He wants to make sure they are where they are supposed to be before he lets it go. This needs to be a major area of improvement between now and September if he wants any chance at winning the starting job.
