Seems like an embattled Butch move to me. He may be very good, but it’s a flimsy resume at this point. Need a very experienced recruiter moreso than a guy just mentioned in tweets.
Hard to say when you don't know what happens behind the scenes. His resume is better than Nieds before Pruitt put him on the field. A lot of people complained about that hire too. He seems to be very well respected and I believe he is in the highest off field position we have. If we don't promote him this year, I bet someone else does. I'm not in the camp of we need to make a bunch of changes, but if we lose anyone on offense I would be very happy with him at any offensive position coach.

Say what you will about teams not caring about “meaningless bowl games”. This team most definitely cared about this win.
The media (espn) has created a fake persona that nobody cares about the bowls when they arent in the final 4. It's their meaningless justification when teams like uga get smashed in the sugar bowl. Its annoying af

Graham seems unlikely.
McClendon has a sweet deal at USCe.
Frank Wilson will have multiple offers.
Hiring Osovet would be silly. You already have him on staff. What’s the point?

Might have an outside hire we haven’t heard about.

i thought Jordan got a lot better from last year.

they just split the carries a lot differently this season. Chandler is just a tweener. he has more "athlete" in him than Jordan, but not quite the same puch...but not as much "athlete" as Gray.

Gray....i know it's getting old....but man...he really has a tone of potential. can't wait to see how he develops.

Development will be interesting. Wonder how much Gray's tendency to avoid contact at the end of runs will effect his play moving forward?

One of the concerning things going into next year based on last night's performance was how many times Indiana's D line was in our backfield...
Palmer and Keyton will need to step up to replace Calloway and JJ
D line will be better
Gray should have some muscle on that frame after spring and summer with Fitz
Bailey and Hill better be ready to bring it

I’m sure it will be coached out of him. I also think he did that more for ball security on the last 2 runs where he essentially just slid down.

he he he...if you can cut like he can, you aren't worrieda about contact.

dude is as good as i've seen in a while at cutting in limited spaces. great burst out of those cuts too.

he'll have to get more physical, just the nature of the position in this league, but most of that is gonna come with some time with Fitz and co.

It wasn't just your dog. Mine went and hid behind the couch. Wife went and got her and she (the dog) just kept staring at me like wtf is wrong with you?
My big old fat cat just layed there and looked at me like I was crazy for a few seconds...then yawned, put his paws over his eyes, and went back to sleep..lol.

He had one bad run early in the game in the redzone where he made a cut left and instead of then immediately going vertical and possibly getting the TD he kept it wide. Other then that EG was good. I also believe the avoiding contact the poster is talking about is when he was about to get hit by 3 dudes and he just kinda stopped running.

Agreed, we are both making very heavy assumptions.

Right side of the line. i think that gets fixed with just more reps. you get BK and DW back. not sure who will be the RG in that situation, but i think that's something they'll fix. i expect the OL to take another step next season.. they were better this year than last, but we are going to have to move folks out of the way to improve the run game.

well, if you're gonna get hit by 3 dudes, why make it worse? he's a RB, he's going to get plenty of hits.

anyway, i know what you're saying.

i'm just not overly worried about it.

Oh I had no issue with it. It was on both of his late game receptions over the middle and I believe he did it more for ball security then being afraid of contact.

I like the instinct for ball security. Seems like he could have picked up more on the OSK too. Just a tendency I noticed down the stretch.
