This is an honest question. Why does ESPN act like the Rose Bowl is the only bowl that matters and is some sort of holy event? It’s between a **** conference and a decent one in an old stadium in a state that doesn’t give a crap about college sports. I don’t get it.

You didn’t see the commercial?? Its about showing off Pasadena and it’s beauty to the world. They want everyone to know that flowers and **** are blooming in January out there and ****. It’s pathetic to me honestly, most folks know Cali is a sh$$ hole already

LA and Northern team. Media needs something to cheer about

That's ok. Having a mother with late stage Alzheimer's and an 81 year old dad, struggling to care for her,I understand the stress. Hope your 2020 is better.
Prayers for both of you as I went through having my Dad die of congestive heart failure and Mom of kidney/chf over the course of 3 years. Still miss them even though it was 20+ years ago. Appreciate the time you have with them now

I predict many

“Unreal”

“****”

“.....”

“Smh”

“There’s the JG we know”

“We are cursed”

“Lol it’s over”

posts in the game thread tonight.

And we will still probably end up winning big.
You left out:
“I’m done!”

“Why is Chaney getting paid $1.5 mil? One play in and it’s 2nd and 10!”

“Ansley is terrible.”

“Fire Sherrer and Friend...now...hurry, the game’s getting ready to start! Hit my Instagram @Sexy85Sugar69”

Lose to bama and play in the orange bowl next year or beat bama and play in the belk bowl?
That’s not what I said though.

You’re asking me to give up two or three wins to beat Alabama. That’s not worth it.

But if Tennessee is in Auburn’s shoes next season, I’ll take beating Alabama over beating Minnesota in the participation trophy bowl 100/100 times.

The "woo" is probably the best example out there of Vol fans turning any and everything possible, into a fight.

It is quite possibly the worst example ya moran! Let's GO!!!!

This year's bowl team is an interesting/good balance I think.

Lots of young bucks that come from 4-8 and/or 5-7 to their first bowl game ever that aren't interested in the "it doesn't matter" chirping. And quite a few of the guys that played in that last 8-4 season that ended (in disappointment) without an East title or the Sugar bowl. So they also are likely not taking this game for granted.

I don't know that it'll be a blowout, I'm not sure we'll even win. But I think they'll play hard and we're probably the healthiest we've been as a team since the start of the season, maybe even healthier considering Bituli wasn't 100% to start the year.

35-17 the good guys

Still confused why it's crazy that their fans (or ours) would expect a better bowl performance after beating Bama.
Is there any reason for the either/or?, other than the automatic VN response to Vol fans taking a shot at a rival?

We were talking about this yesterday. Is it the parade? Couldn't think of anything else.

Well I believe what started it was someone said “I guess they’ll just keep Gus because he can beat Alabama” and while it’s not that simple, that’s about as good a reason to keep a coach as any.

I don’t know. I just don’t get the “lol look at them” when they beat their main rival and won 9 games this year. Would they have liked to win? Sure. But these bowls games are nothing more than a cash grab for the TV networks and a way for the players to get some free sweatpants. To act like they move the needle either way is incorrect, in my opinion.

I am pretty interested/excited to see how well the LOS for both sides plays.

Trey only got a handful of practices in fall camp...he's had more practices now than he did going into the season. Should be close to 100% health too and if it's his 'last ride' I expect he'll want to go out with a bang (he won't be in any senior bowls etc. type games).

Plus the defensive line seemed to just get better and better as the season went on, and now they got time to rest/recover and get to full strength. I know Solomon was banged up to end the season as I'm sure a few others were too. Plus ya got DT trying to improve his draft stock against a team he should be able to dominate, especially if the rest of the DL shows up.

Great point. I can't even imagine the dire consequences that would result if fans were allowed to take shots at their rivals on their own message board.
Catastrophic, imo.
