My philosophy has always been don’t worry about how others affect me but how I affect others. As far as football, I don’t worry about who other teams have or are getting and I hope the are at their best when we play them. Makes whipping them much more satisfying.

1. I don’t pull for them either.
2. I hope LSU, a team in the west who we rarely directly recruit against, bears the hell out of Clemson.

I’m not sure how much the strength or weakness of a league matters except the whole ”iron sharpens iron” adage, which Clemson is currently laughing at.

i like being associated with a league that is considered the best. That’s just me.

it is satisfying from the standpoint that I have friends and other acquaintances who tell me the SEC is overrated. So, if the people I know who are ACC people or Big 10 people run their mouths, I can point to bowl results to shut them up.

Not gonna lie, I usually go into bowl season (out of conference games too) pulling for our conference brethren but find myself enjoying their misery if they start getting beat or do in fact lose. Love, hate thing I guess?

Seeing as how a lot of our politics is divided on geographical lines, in a lot of respects it's 2020 and in a lot of respects it's still 1865.

I have to admit that I am less than thrilled about seeing folks up North screw up their states up North, leave to come down South where it's better (for a reason) and proceed to try to vote in and implement the same crap down here that screwed things up in the North. Makes me a little unhappy with the folks from the North.

So, yeah. Some things have changed. Some things stay the same.

I apologize for sending this thread off the rails.

Why hasnt Clemson affected UGA's recruiting negatively like it has ours?

Just a copout to say that. A bad Clemson would help UGA much more than us.

This is one of those endless topics of discussion that will never be resolved. It will just keep coming back up over and over again. Which side you're on comes down to whether you view it logically or emotionally. Neither side is wrong. Root for LSU if you want to -- or root against them. Ultimately, it really doesn't have any effect on the outcome.

Bama, Florida and Georgia losing won't hurt the SEC as a whole and helps Tenn a whole lot. Talban vs. Bama, I roll into stadium with my newest turban. What those that want them to win fail to account for is the bandwagon fans that glom onto their brand and make us (and their normal fans) suffer during the Spring and Summer months.

Yeah, I'm with you. I think the ad agency that came up with this is the same one that thought it was a good idea for Jordan Sparks to sing One Shining Moment a few years back. Barf.
