The athletes have to fulfill their military obligation after their pro career or repay the cost of their college education (US military academy athletes can now delay service, go pro)

Per the policy signed in November, it is deferred OR they can take a civilian role in the dept of defense for 5 years OR they can repay the cost of their tuition. Have to get permission from the secretary of defense to get the waiver in the first place, reviewed each year.

Rocker is only 53 yrs old. Geez I'm 50 and wished I could retire now and have enough money to live. Maybe he wants t take a break for a couple of years or be a non field role but awful young to be retiring so early at 53.

I retired at 56. I like it.
