It’s absolutely relevant. A lot of QBs can put up big numbers in a QB friendly offense... that doesn’t mean their good. Minshew has shown that he’s more than that and could possibly end up being a legitimate starting QB in the NFL. We literally have not had one of those since 1998.
If you want to take the next step as a program which would be winning 8-10 games next year and think our QBs from last year can get us there, then great. I hope you’re right.
I think think it’s worth taking a shot on a transfer/grad transfer virtually every year unless you have a clear cut starter for the foreseeable future. You probably are gonna get depth, but you could get something special. You’re signing ~25 guys a year in which a handful of them are never going to play one minute or end up transferring anyway so you might as well use a spot on it. It’s a low risk - high reward play imo.
