Burrow had two years and LSU had basically NOBODY to head a loaded roster. If you’re still talking about Russell Wilson? That was an All-American level QB who his coach booted because he wouldn’t give up baseball. If Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields want to transfer here in their last season before the NFL? Yeah sign them up. Next.

I used to be a member of another forum where they did something similar. There was an older forum member named “Pops” and every day he’d log in and say ‘morning ~insert user name~. He passed away so they started a “morning pops” thread where every day a bunch of them would posting “mornin” to each other.

I haven’t visited that forum in years but that thread remained active at least five years after the guy died. Literally page after page after page of just “morning butchna” “morning bgs” “morning glitch” “stfu bassmaster” “morning freak” etc

I get you're known for your bad takes...but this is the worst of the bunch. Maurer hasn't shown anything except an inability to stay healthy, at least to this point. I got nothing against the kid and love his fire, but come the heck on man.

Hank has an obsessive hate of JG. Can easily flush anything he says about him.

Thanks. I didn't know that about Burrow. The 2 years of eligibility though was key.

Hurts was just a different scenario with Tua. But Hurts still had flaws, otherwise, he would have been the #1 guy at Bama.

I don't think he did, I think the team seeing how Jarrett handled that situation is what helped them turn the corner.

In those 5 wins to close out the season JG had 1026 yards passing, 8 TDs and just 1 INT while adding 59 rushing yards. He started the South Carolina & Missouri game, and threw the only TDs we had against Kentucky with only 1 incompletion. And he also threw the game icing TD against Mississippi State.

Maurer was 4 for 7 for 61 yards and 2 picks (both in the redzone) against Mississippi State, DNP against South Carolina or Vanderbilt. And was 7 of 16 for 98 yards against Kentucky and threw just 1 pass against Missouri.

Nah, again I like the kid and his fire...but his best game was Georgia...which we lost by 29 points and only scored twice one of which was an opening drive 73 yard pass to Callaway on a blown coverage.

You take away that deep ball to Callaway and Maurer really didn't do much except look like a freshman who wasn't ready, but had to play.


By no means am I all in on JG, I really hope Bailey comes in guns blazing in the next few weeks and never looks back. But Maurer to this point hasn't shown jack **** to prove he's better than Jarrett.
