Bingo. This isn't a poorly coached team; it's an undermanned team. We signed 4 guys in 2017 and 1 in 2018. Of those 5, only 1 is still in the program (Pons). The rest transferred after making no impact. Combine that with the fact you had 2 guys declare early last season and you get the 2019 basketvols. Whenyou sleep in recruiting it eventually shows. Thankfully Barnes hit the trail hard in the 2020 class and will have an immensely better team next season.

Wisconsin is gaining confidence shooting the ball against a team that looks like they are pulling wisdom teeth when they shoot.

So we aren’t tall, don’t really have a point guard and are a poor shooting team. Sounds like a very well put together basketball team I realize we lost a lot from last year but coach has had 3 recruiting cycles to prepare for this, why are we so devoid of basketball talent?

The only thing I thought last year was that Barnes didn’t really build depth last year for this year....played with 6-7 players too many times. We have zero depth and can’t score.

People thought magic wasnt athletic either...sometimes a player makes things look so effortless that some dont realize it....that man glides along the court..he went for the layup cuz it was the right play..he converts and you say nothing....

I’m not saying it wasn’t the right play. I guess I’m saying elite level players try to dunk those at the rim when they have a step, in the open court, going to their strong hand. It’s Not a knock on his game, he gonna be a really good rebounder, decsion makes, and defender in his career

This one is over folks. We always say averages won’t allow teams to continue shooting against us like this but every time they do and we lose lol. We’re just one of those teams even in our good years where teams play us and will be bad all year but world beaters against us. Just how it is.
