When comparing Mullen and Pruitt, you almost have to guess how they would have done if you swapped them where Mullen was at UT and Pruitt at UF the past 2 years. No doubt he inherited a better situation. That still doesn’t change the fact that Mullen has done a better job through his first two seasons. Now we may be singing a different tune over the long haul, but the on field results are what they are.
Bottom line for me is I think they’re both really good coaches. The evidence backs that up with Mullen, not so much with Jeremy. I think once he has his program established, we’ll give Florida all they want. Just have to stay the course. It may be not be until 2021 until we’re really built to go toe to toe with UGA and UF.When comparing Mullen and Pruitt, you almost have to guess how they would have done if you swapped them where Mullen was at UT and Pruitt at UF the past 2 years.
I think Mullen may have gotten more out of JG early this year but not much more. You can see how Franks improved slightly under Mullen and I think JG and Franks have similar skills. Mullen was very fortunate when Franks got hurt this year because Trask is a much better QB. Mullen should have at least been rotating Trask with Franks before Franks was injured.
On the flip side, I would hate to go up against a Pruitt coached UF defense. It would be nasty with all the Florida talent they bring in on D each year.
