Sometimes kids make bad decisions when everyone around them sees the clearer picture. As far as tight end goes, I think he would be unwise to go to UGA. A tight end in general will be featured more in our offense.

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say momma like UT's coaching staff and offer... and DW liked either his potential teammates or something about UGA not football related like the campus, distance to ATL, girls, or something else. My guess based on little more than the difference between how 17 year olds think and parents think.

I agree "but", no matter the reason, if a kid feels he was forced, it wouldn't be the best way to start in your team environment. Opinion of course.

I do seem to recall a JUCO DB from quite a few years ago who faxed his papers into NC State, but mom did not sign and we got back in and he did eventually sign with us and had a decent career here for a JUCO guy.

Julian Battle, I believe. I think he signed a NLI to both NC State and Tennessee. I can’t remember how he ended up here. I guess momma only signed the one to Tennessee.

I know it's common not to but you have to include *context. Have you seen their roster vs their production?

Comparing stats with Ga/TN results isn't apples to apples, it's more like apples to shoe.

Drill down into the numbers. It certainly was not because of the coaching or OC. Logically, they should have. If they have all those highly rated recruits, they should have. On the season, UGA on outperformed UT by 8 yards passing.....if you add in the SECCG, it was 232 yards. That is abysmal for a school that has had top 5 recruiting classes. As I have said, UGA is smoke and mirror. They've been winning by out talenting teams, not out coaching or superior schemes.

Honestly, he should go to FL before any other team. Look at how Mullen is using his TE this past year. That cat is putting up some good numbers with crappy QB play too. Sometimes I dont know what kids base their decision off of.
