Those are nowhere near as effective if you only trot him out on the field to be used in those situations. You have to at least plausibly be good at other parts of the game, otherwise it's just a gimmick that can be rather easily prepared for and defended. It's why he's only had success at an aspect of the game where he can rely on pure athleticism - the kick return game, and that's a part of the game that is being taken away via kickoffs being moved up.Use him as an RB, get him some WR screens. Get the ball in his hands.
I made that comment last night after they lined him up at RB and he ran for 16 yards...it was kinda tongue in cheek but also.....he's good, give him the ball.Tough to be a gadget player when every time you’re on the field everyone is looking at you because you’re the gadget player ha. If he can’t come close to an every down player after all these years and multiple teams, it’s on him.
He definitely needs to return punts, unless they try him at practice and he's bad at it?Those are nowhere near as effective if you only trot him out on the field to be used in those situations. I'm not sure why he isn't used more for punt returns - according to Pro Football Reference he's only returned a single punt in his entire career.
