i think if you're TN, and we are, the only thing we have going for us is the silence, like our folks are doing everything they can to keep things quiet.
so, i wouldn't expect a whole lot from anyone til after the new year....either way. and if he did sign with us, our motivation level is HIGH to do what he asked us to do.
the other side of that coin is....our folks aren't going to say anything because from a credibilty standpoint, it would get used against us on the trail with future recruits. as for other offers, we have offers already out to guys like Williamson and Beckwith, so there's nothing to glean from any additional offers.
just depends on what you want to believe at this point.....
Bama insiders and GA insiders have been a little more vocal, but in fairness to them, they're just connecting dots. i don't know that i've seen anything from any of them but speculation and guess work...as educated it may be.
secking came on here and said he knew he signed on Wed. at the Marietta game, we found out he did sign. that's the only intel we have had that's been corroborated....
i don't think anyone knows who he signed with. i do think that since he signed before friday that it's UGA. if he hadn't signed by Friday and was at the game and was able to get up with HB one last time, i'd of probably been more optimistic about it.....
siap, my gut reaction when he said he had already signed during that interview was that it was UGA.
JMO.
Full disclaimer (and no I'm not an insider who receives a plethora of info), but I have a lot of good relationships with multiple folks who work in the football department. I knew Bailey was coming to UT the day he made the tweet last year announcing his commitment time. I also knew about Eric Gray and Crouch. I was also told HT was a no go before Tosh left Bama. The staff is extremely tight lipped, but sometimes it's hard for everyone to be hush when a big fish jumps in.
The emoji thing is fun and games, but from the folks I have relationships with inside the UT Football dept there is some general optimism that we pulled this one out. Again, it is very hush and I think the silence is deafening.
And no, I am not a troll...just someone who happens to know people in this administration.

dunno. saw one theory that simply said that it'd be an opportunity to get the highest rated uncommitted player left on TV on ESPN, and that's why he was at the game?I guess my question is, if he signed before Friday with UGA, why go see Bailey play? UGA got zero players from Marietta.

but of course, you get the obvious connect with HB and that they supposedly spent at least some time together?
again, just depends on what you want to beleive at this point. i want to believe it.....but yeah, for whatever reason, that initial gut feeling was UGA once he said he signed....
but there's dots to connect for us too....they just seem kinda thin to me.
if i'm wrong, it's not like i'm gonna be mad about it............lol.
