They tell you what the parameters are generally in the title of their tweets. Why does that part matter anyway, it's not hard to compare the numbers with the other QBs in the SEC and see that JG is generally 4th-6th in nearly every QB stat that plays positive. Our Fr sensation is always rated with the bottom 4-7, can you seriously not look at all those stats and see where JG stacks up to the other QBs in the SEC?And yes I found the website. But like any website that trying to gain recognition with next Gen. Statistics there's usually a place where the statistics that they're trying to establish are defined as to what their parameters are.
You don't provide any facts on JG, only statements and opinions. The neverJG crowd was never right about Guarantano. His development is coming along nicely and he is set up for a big year next season. Joe Burrows' stats were terrible last season and he improved, no reason to think JG won't continue his improvement. His best wasn't good enough. It isn't "hating", its stating facts.
@KBVol spent a good portion of the off season defending JG when I criticized him. This isn't where KB wants to be. JG earned the mistrust. Please, you can do better. You left room on the first page for some to comment on your EXTREME dislike of JG. Better get your whining in gear for next year, because if he doesn't transfer, JG will be the starting QB next year until they feel Harrison Bailey or Jimmy Holiday are ready to take over.
You're lying again. Your "affection" for either is limited by who they compete with. You will turn on Bailey if it looks like Holiday is a real possibility. The same reason I like Bailey and the same reason I liked Bray. They can help us win.
Now you have a type of qb you hate. It's all well documented.
You completely whiffed on the point of my post. I was not talking stats. Read it again.I want some of what you were smoking.. both of them completed under 49% of their passes. Maurer threw 1 less int than JG in 1/3 the attempts Jag also threw 4x as many yards in only 4 times as many attempts. He has better stats than them in EVERY stat and its not even close. Just because a kid comes in and throws on nice pass does not excuse the fact the other 10 he threw were terrible. I think it hilarious how someone will pull up tape of their guy completing one pass in a way they call great ignore all his bad ones and do the exact opposite to JG. He threw just as many good passes as either of them and LESS bad passes that's period point blank. Funny Stat Maurers BEST game is worse than JG's average. These are facts, not opinion. I watched all the same games as everyone else and people were seeing ghosts.
How many games did Maurer or Shrout win? ZERO Maurer only threw for TD's in a loss to UGA he rushed for one against UTC which played no role in the win and one in a loss to Bama. Every game we won we won on JG's watch.
What do you mean possiblity? He is a qb we signed. It doesn't get more "possible" than that. Are you having a stroke or something? Making even less sense than usual. You're lying again. Your "affection" for either is limited by who they compete with. You will turn on Bailey if it looks like Holiday is a real possibility.
The neverJG group is never gonna change. I think they are terrible for our fanbase and our program with their constant negativity. Each of them seem to like being divisive and if your view is opposite their view then all heck breaks out. They like to call folks liars, cowards, idiots and "fans with an agenda", WTH does that even mean by having an agenda, dumbest thing I've ever heard. Pruitt and Chaney know more than they do so from here on out I'm gonna roll with who they roll with and right now that looks like JG. The neverJG crowd can go jump in a cold lake for all I care.I mean, a lot of what you and 79 are saying doesn't sound objective at all. It's just plain hating on a dude for doing his best. Blame Pruitt for putting him out there. Don't fault the kid who is doing the best he can. He's not the best quarterback I've ever seen, but it's not his fault he's been given the opportunity to play. I appreciate his love for MY university. I appreciate the way he's represented MY university. I appreciate the heart he's shown playing for MY university.
True. He is below average, thats why.
lol. OMG he got hit hard on the football field!!!Most won't have a new offensive coordinator every year of their career. Most won't play behind one of the worst lines in the country, subjecting them to getting hit hard multiple times per game. Most of them won't have a roster lacking playmakers. Most of them won't have the fan base turn on them and boo them in Neyland. But go on with your JG hate.
who says its the worst loss in UT history? Way to Hyperbole bro. There have been way worse losses just in the last decade.. Nice try though. Maurer is responsible for exactly 0 wins, my point stands... he didn't even make a significant contribution in ANY winsThen he is also responsible for the worst loss in UT history. Nobody else just your quarterback by your own definition
You are so dishonest you can't even read clearly. I deal with a lot of people both on line and in person. You are at a "special" level. What do you mean possiblity? He is a qb we signed. It doesn't get more "possible" than that. Are you having a stroke or something? Making even less sense than usual.
Just more dishonesty from you... and projection. Not surprised you popped in to defend your alt.
Can't actually speak in definitive terms for him.You obviously have the same qb criteria he/y'all does.
You have absolutely no way of knowing that. He hasn't had a single practice much less a live down of college football.Bailey will be the next qb.
But if it is Maurer? Shrout? No need to ask about Hill... he would obviously have your support. If he isn't that means the coaches have a better option. If it's Holiday he will get my support. I like him and Bailey.
I've said specifically why I do not think he will be a college QB UNLESS he develops a better arm. You are so reactionary that you think it has to be something else. It simply isn't.You unsurprisingly don't believe he is even a qb.
I'm open. But he played bad for a long time. His Vandy performance makes me nervous. It will take more than he's done in the last 4 games to convince me... but I'm not closed minded. It would be a terrific story if he turns it around to that degree... and would definitely be a HUGE feather in Chaney's hat.Lol.. regardless of what any of you guys come up with get ready for the same next year.. I actually think JG improves a lot with another year under Chaney!

True. And it is worth remembering... he's still a freshman. He showed flashes that he can become a great, not good, QB for UT. But he has to clean up the mistakes and keep his head together. He didn't play confident at all vs UK.This is not a dig on JG, however I do find it absolutely ridiculous that those that support him over Maurer seem to forget that Maurer didn’t spend half the season throwing check downs and building his comp %. But Rather Maurer came out guns blazing and throwing downfield. News flash to those that want to Use his stats against him: the farther the pass is downfield, the lower the percentage of it being completed. It’s also very easy to only look at stats as a basis for those with little memory. He threw 5 ints. I remember 2 of those bouncing off of the receiver (UF, Bama) and one more that was literally TWO plays after nearly breaking his neck. So that 5 could just as easily been 2.
that's exactly my point..... you're talking made-up stuff. Your eye test. But sometimes stats do not lie. Fact, if JG's stats were anywhere near as bad as Maurers the AD's office would have been burnt to the ground. But since people hate on JG every completion Maurer threw was the most beautiful pass in the history of football. But when you look at the numbers and results there is no argument because you cannot argue. IF Maurers stats were even in the same zip code you would have a point. They were not so ignoring stats and actual results is silly. People are blaming the GSU loss on JG.. we scored 30 points....he threw for over 300 yards 2 tds 1 pick and 65% completion percentage. You completely whiffed on the point of my post. I was not talking stats. Read it again.
Took a bullied kid under his wing ?? What are you talking about ? Please explain.I like JG, was impressed with him when he took the bullied kid under his wing and I think he is a great representative for UT. My concern with him as QB doesn't come down to talent or ability, but rather predictability. I just have no confidence that the "good" JG will show up on game day. He can look really great at times but then he has those inexplicable moments that don't exactly imbue confidence. Take one of his great games and apply it across an entire season he would be an NFL lock. Do the same with one of his bad games and he wouldn't be starting anywhere in D1. I sincerely hope his inconsistency is behind him and everything is clicking for him now. If so next year is his season.
If people were only just saying THAT I would be ok with it because it’s true. It’s the BS I have a problem with. And I agree he wasn’t himself in the limited time vs UK but he was getting better with each possession as well. I know he was told not to run in that game which is half his his style of play so it only makes sense he wasn’t himself.True. And it is worth remembering... he's still a freshman. He showed flashes that he can become a great, not good, QB for UT. But he has to clean up the mistakes and keep his head together. He didn't play confident at all vs UK.
