Chaney always planned to retire in Knoxville. He already had a house there. He's at his desired destination. Pittman has land in Arkansas and had planned to retire there...even told some folks privately that he was only going to coach one or two more years (obviously that has changed becoming a head coach). He's at his desired destination. Even though they worked so many years together, they're both where they want to be.

Pittman's taking a beating on the trail today, or at least was the last time I looked an hour or two ago.
Its gotten a little better. He flipped a recruit from Oregon and one from Mizzou. Still not a very good signing day for the hogs. On another note, I could see Mizzou slipping into a funk for a while with the turnover that is happening coupled with the sub-par recruiting. Drinkwitz mainly won with the previous coach's players.

Yep. Not too familiar with Knoxville, but there’s a guy there who owns a bunch of steak houses who is apparently Chaney’s best friend. Someone who worked with Pittman told me he was pretty big in getting Chaney to go back to UT. Chaney loves it Knoxville and has ties there, so he’s at his destination.

Coming from a guy who follows App St, Drinkwitz is in way over his head. Absolutely awful hire for Mizzou.

Really would like to have seen DW do something cool with Mike Keith and Charles...Madden highlight reel followed by commitment...or something like that...
