The Impeachment Thread

But is there any factual testimony where qpq was claimed without any pre or post equivocation?
All the Evidence of Trump's Ukraine Quid Pro Quo, Together in One Place
“I said that resumption of the U.S. aid would likely not occur until Ukraine provided the public anticorruption statement that we had been discussing for many weeks.”

Multiple witnesses corroborated that Sondland told Ukraine the release of aid was conditional.

Sondland also testified that he was directed by the president to insist to concerned State Department officials that there wasn’t quid pro quo.

I really appreciate your answers.

The italicized quote mention anticorruption (which is what justin mentioned earlier). Is that a Sondland quote?

No witness claimed there was a quid pro quo or bribery
If what you say about "perceived" is true and part of the record, and what luth is posting about Sondland's other testimony is true, it seems Sondland is all over the place with his testimony.

It's amazing who Trump refuses to let testify.
And repubs have the audacity to complain that there are no fact witnesses.
The fact witnesses are being silenced by Trump - and repubs know this very well - they are manipulating the gulible.

Sondland said he repeatedly brought up the Ukraine controversy with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and once with Vice President Mike Pence
He also named acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney; then National Security Adviser John Bolton; Bolton’s deputy, Fiona Hill; and Timothy Morrison, who replaced Hill and testified Tuesday as among those aware of his work.

“Everyone was in the loop,” he said. “It was no secret.”

Right. His statement he read said there was a quid pro quo, then Schiff called a break so he could run to the cameras then they came back and he backed off saying it was a perception

Do you recollect why aid has been delayed in past?

From my convo with rockytop85, it looks like bribery is no longer mentioned in the consideration of impeachment even though is wad a key point back in November.
This isn’t what I said and you never explained why/how you misconstrued what I said.

It is:

Sonland submitted an addendum in which he admitted he told Andriy Yermak, a top adviser to Zelensky, that a quid pro quo was in place:

“I said that resumption of the U.S. aid would likely not occur until Ukraine provided the public anticorruption statement that we had been discussing for many weeks.”

This seems incriminating. Why do you think he added the word perceived in his testimony the other day?

I consider you to be rational and reasonable (for the most part).
I'll let you settle it.
Do you believe Trump was attempting to withhold aid in exchange for a public statement from Ukraine that they were investigating Biden?

Yes he attempted to withhold it ( IMO ) it’s the second part I’m not sure of completely . The power of office would allow him a lot of wiggly room on this since he sets the policy . The difference between what he did and what Obama and Biden did , in my mind is like splitting a hair .

Does that quote lend credence to what justin posted earlier (aid delayed due to corruption concerns)?

But what do you believe on the second part?
What does your gut and common sense tell you?

I don’t trust any of them them as far as I could pick them up and toss them . This whole thing from the Russia investigation to right now has made my mistrust even deeper . Every single one of them will lie to me and you in a second to push an agenda or gain something they want . I don’t trust my gut with politicians anymore , I don’t trust anything about them . They have jaded me beyond belief .

You think Justin's post about corruption or a qpq for biden dirt are equally likely?

We are a lot alike in this.

That’s the first bowl and Luther have heard of this as they stopped listening after the camera break
LOL.....what complete BS. You guys can't be that naive and gullible.
Trump said that on SEPTEMBER 9th!!!!!!!!
He had already been busted and he knew it, so he said "no quid pro quo, no quid pro quo, I wand nothing." LOL
Really guys? Give me a break.
