I don’t think the recruitment of DW has anything to do with the TEs on the roster but when you can add the top recruit at any position, you do it.

Also, it's not like having multiple good tight ends is a bad thing.

Mansell doesn't know. Everything has played out about as well as you could hope for. On the field, UGA's offense has struggled the last half of the season and their only decent QB on the roster is leaning towards leaving for the draft. The QB they have committed hasn't had a good senior season either and there's talk of turmoil on that staff. Their OC has one disappointing season under his belt.

On the other hand, Tennessee has some real momentum and a lot of great media coverage from ending the season on a winning streak. JG has started to turn it around, there's an exciting young QB behind him in Maurer, and one of the best HS QBs in the country will be coming in Bailey. The OC Jim Chaney is established and has a great track record...especially when it comes to throwing the ball around. He has a strong relationship with Neids...who would also be his position coach.

On top of all of that...ATL has been spot on with this one the entire way...

Word is Jermaine Burton recruited Gilbert and Ojulari to LSU. He was at UGA this weekend without telling the LSU staff. If he flips it could also help UGA with Gilbert and Ojulari.
