I guess we need specifics...not just “concerns”. Using Lil Jon’s song one of them?
UT protected him from perjuring himself. Bowles was going to testify that Butch allowed and even initiated Curt Maggitt and Geraldo Orta putting a “hit” on his head the next time he showed up at the football complex. Butch called him a traitor at the team meeting.

UT did not want these things getting out so they settled before Butch was called to testify.

Also add in a little cronyism

That makes more sense. Butch might as well withdraw his name and seek another slot somewhere. Urbz is going for one of his guys. I still think Butch would do well at a school like that. He's made for the underdog role and would have fewer egos to manage/screw up there.

I hate seeing A&M's commitments. Really wanted Chris Morris, Antonio Johnson, and Haynes King. A&M be recruiting 1,000 miles away from home for some of those guys.

Feels too late for any of them now...unless OD thinks the Memphis Sextuplet is coming out.

Yes. Financial responsibility is to liberalism as ipecac is to the all you can eat Chinese buffet.

His salesman hokum is financial nonense, that's all. From a finance MBA, I spot that BS. Usually from "financial advisors" which I fully expect it from. I would expect better from a guy selling $20 books to people merely trying to get out of debt. Dude went bankrupt in real estate...great example. What's worse...he's making millions selling prosperity narratives. Never really did it himself, just selling the how-to scheme when he's never really done it. Any salesman could.

"Hey, I never worked a real job and made it rich...but I've made millions selling to you people how to be rich...and now I'm rich...and oh yeah, Jesus something something...thank you for your money!".

I'm glad it works for some people...but it's stuff you could real online for free and better stuff. He does not teach optimal financial principles. He sells expensive exhibition packages for sub-optimal, basic financial education. Or cheap annual online classes for $130/year...to people that already can't afford anything. Almost any city has non-profits that teach it for free, and better. Sad imo.

Paid a bunch of money anyway and fired Dave Hart because of it.

Butch should have fallen on that sword. Not Hart.

Nothing is ever proven until people are put on a stand under oath and subjected to questioning from both sides. Part of the equation is paying legal fees and costs for a drawn out process. It becomes a business decision at some point.
