Hot take: Pruitt is in the playoffs again before lil Nickie.
Man, I think we are close to being a championship team. We were consistent QB play away this year from being 9-3. Defense going to be even better next year. QB play should, should, be better next year. What is our ceiling?

On behalf of a whole host of people in Volnation, I want to personally voice my displeasure of the 1/2 game suspension given to Jauan Jennings. It is beyond unfair to a young man, who will be playing his last game in the orange and white. Your review committee caved to the pressure from the media and others, who kept writing articles and voicing their displeasures, that he intentionally stepped on the Vandy player’s face. There is absolutely zero evidence in the videos that shows his action was malicious and intentional. There wasn’t even a personal foul flag thrown, yet you chose to allow the suspension to take place. If it was truly intentional, then he would be suspended the entire game and not a half. You compromised to the mob, who was continuing to complain about it, so that they would be satisfied, instead of doing what was just and right, which was taking no action. The fact you and your committee put that action in the same category, as what George Pickens of Georgia did to that Georgia Tech player is ludicrous! Now, that was malicious and intentional. By the way, was he suspended for an entire game??? Nope, can’t do that since Georgia is playing for the SEC championship on Saturday. You and your committee need to make this right and lift the suspension. Let JJ play his entire last game as a Tennessee football player. Thanks for your time and consideration.

With this class closing strong and an elite class next year I think you’re right. I could see us having the 7-10 win season next year and then making a run in 21 if we get most of our depth addressed.

Basically Vanderbilt raised a complaint in order to have Jennings suspended. Talk about sour sports.

Considering we had 2 helmet removing facemask (on the same play) and they ultimately played chippy/dirty most the game I am disappointed they raised a complaint. The fact every replay is slowed down doesn't help matters as it makes the action look far worse than it was.

Kash Daniels was on clear film putting Trask in an ankle lock...nothing came of that. Guess Florida didn't raise a fuss?

I feel like 2021 is our first serious chance. I think this year‘s freshman class and this incoming class will be the core that gets us consistently competitive with everyone on our schedule. Sprinkle in a few talented seniors and some potential instant impact players from the 2021 class and we should have the depth to compete for 4 quarters with Bama, UGA, UF, and anyone else that gets in our way.

People have been talking a lot about bowl payouts, but it really doesn't make as big of a difference as what many are thinking in terms of what Tennessee actually takes home from the games directly since most of it is put into a SEC pool and split 15 ways (14 teams and the conference):

For the Independence Bowl - Tennessee would take home $1.05 million, plus travel expenses
For the Birmingham and Gator Bowl - UT takes home $1.325 million plus travel expenses
For the Belk, Music City, and Liberty - UT takes home $1.525 million plus travel expenses
For the Texas, Outback, Citrus, NY6 - UT takes home $2.05 million plus travel expenses
For the CFP - UT takes home $4.2 million plus travel expenses

May have missed it, but has anyone confirmed the punishment, or any punishment for the Pickens incident against Ga Tech? SURELY he is getting some sort of official punishment...
