yeah Greg I guess we don’t get it.we don’t get how you think it’s entirely ā€œnormalā€ for you to be involved in a rape case cover up and still think you’re worthy of leading a football team at a P5 program like tennessee.

Greg Schiano takes a shot at Tennessee Vols fans

If they transfer because they had their scholarships yanked? You win of course. Not that complicated you 😸

Lol

I doubt you are going to see a press release
Saying that’s the case

My bet is they don’t all 3 finish their eligibility here counting against the 85 all four years.

You man enough to bet that $100?

If not just say Hubbs is wrong or you are wrong and shut up about it

I thought scholarships were for one year and then the NCAA made it ok to award 4 year scholarships. I'm guessing the 4 year scholarship is reserved for "stud athletes" and is strictly up to the head coach. Just my opinion.
In 2015 they made the reasons you cannot renew a scholarship all the same as a 4 year scholarship, so there's no pragmatic difference now. Now they just use the blanket term, "multiyear guaranteed scholarships".

Not aware of there being a different set of rules for not renewing a scholarship for walkons, but I also have a hard time believing we signed Abercrombie, Ku Garland up for 3-4 years. Who knows

I've been thinking that there has got to be something up with Norvell. I wasn't sure what it was but now there is scuttle bug that he has serious gambling issues and is into someone pretty deep. It really wouldn't shock me if he stays in Memphis. JMO

Some of the Memphis media thinks Norvell is headed to FSU based on them waiting. The gambling "issues" have only been rumor, and I don't know of anything that substantiates that. It certainly hasn't effected his job performance.

It’s simple the ā€œnewā€ rule wasn’t worth the paper it was written on. Even under the old rules you couldn’t take $ away because of athletic reasons. The new rule just clarified that and tried to make the process look ā€œbetterā€

Players always could Appeal and can now. Just rarely happens but when it does coaches have list of reasons why players lost their $ that didn’t include performance. Like missed classes, late and or missed practices/meetings, missed study halls, missed workouts; poor work ethic, other disciplinary reasons

Coaches were told when the new rules hit to keep better documentation so as to state that a kid was being removed from $ for reasons other than poor play

I would love to schedule a game vs rutgers
We have before. It did not turn out well. Some of you may remember, "What's a Rutgers?"

Edit: It was apparently, "What are Rutgers?" Anyway, they upset us in 1979, 13-7. The next week, we went out and beat Notre Dame, 40-18. Go figure.
