I feel the same for pope. He's always false starting. ALWAYS

He's a very good blocker though.

On the other side of the ball, Garland had a very good game. Seems like those guys on the DL keep getting better and better.

Nice sack by Roman Harrison. He made a very nice move to slip inside and get to the QB. I expect to see a lot of that next season.

In the last 7 games, starting with MSU, UT has allowed 71 1st half pts and on 38 2nd half pts. While we don't have great depth, we seem to be able to rotate guys on the DL and in the secondary with little dropoff, and it i allowing UT to win most 2nd halfs, and that is a credit to the staff and their ability to develop guys and get buy in.

So what time do coaches start getting fired today? Also who should we have our eye on for getting the boot? In the SEC maybe Muschamp and Mason. Stoops might be targeted by FSU once their coaching search fires up.

On the national stage Kelly and Heltons seat have to be getting hot out in LA. Also Herman in Texas seat has to be getting hot. Herman will probably getting a 4th year but Texas is crazy and their has been a lot of clueless/out of touch quotes come out of that program.

My next door neighbor, a big MSU fan, says there is a lot of rumors swirling that Moorehead may be out in Starkville despite winning the Egg Bowl. He just seems to be a bad fit at MSU. I don't know what his buyout is, but with that Rutgers job still open while Rutgers flirts off and on, with Schiano, JoMO may bolt on his own if the opportunity is there. Starkville had to have been a culture shock to his family.

Because everyone knows what the outcome would be. It would be a bloodletting.
Nah. But even if it was, what difference does it make? Notre dame and Oklahoma get in all the time and get destroyed. Michigan state, wrecked. At least a g5 team would make it more interesting. And the g5 teams have had a lot of success against p5 teams in ny6 bowls and bcs bowls. So saying that they can't compete is ignoring all the evidence that shows they can compete.

Saban's team did not lose because of an "unfair play." They lost because Auburn hung 48 on him. Saban's whining is glorious.
Saban looked pathetic the way he handled that. Lug nuts are loose. I think it's the start of his downfall. He would have been better off just acknowledging he got punked.

Saban is one of the greatest ever. I said a couple of years ago he couldn't keep it up losing a large percentage of his staff every year. It's starting to catch up to him.

Your post doesn’t follow, “logically”.

He’s not playing over the guys ALREADY here. And recruiting is only going to get better.

We’ll see.

Beasley is ALREADY here...

I was responding to you saying he Beasley was being recruited over. We've got lots of RS guys who saw tons of playing time this season, an Beasley came in as a raw talent who was even willing to take reps at ILB for awhile when needed. He may be one of those guys like Fant that never finds a great landing spot, but I'm also not writing him off. I'm sure Pruitt & staff would rather guys with experience in their system earn starting roles.

Heck we need to expand the playoff to 64 like we do in basketball if you want to give any team with .01% chance of winning it all.

I believe that is directly linked to how the staff let's all the players get the same amount of rep's in practice. Even PWO's and Walkon's getting the rep's. And like Pruitt says , "the more you do something the better you gone get at it Aight"

I bet he hopes Franklin leaves from PSU and that job falls in his lap. I could see Michigan St going another direction because of their Atheletic department making a lot of national news for bad reasons and two medicore seasons. That could be another escape for Moorehead.

Nah. The gap between the p5 and the AAC or even the mountain west isn't that wide. Yer perspective is blinded by bias.

So what will our RB and WR rotations look like next season?

OL should be good. TEs are a total unknown but Chaney didn’t use them much this season anyway.

I think they’re going to do whatever they can to redshirt Bailey unless he just blows the doors off the competition. JG, Maurer and Hill should be plenty ahead of him.

Not actually losing any to graduation, unsure if anyone transfers - RBs: Ty, Jordan, CFA (redshirted), Gray
WRs: Palmer, Johnson (redshirted), Gibbs, Tillman, Keyton, Montgomery, Means
TEs: Pope, Lowe, Craig, Warren, Fant, Salmon, Brown

To me OL is going to be interesting. I am hoping Calbert, Carvin, Morris, Brandon, Wright have it all figured out and are playing well together as a unit. I really like Jahmir Johnson, but I don't know if he can get to a good weight and stay there he's listed at 290 and I'm still not sure he's even that heavy.

I appreciate all Tatum and Ryan Johnson have done for the program and put their time in...but I always groan when I see either of them on the field. We'll also have Lampley & Akporoghene entering their 2nd year, both could work into the 2 deep.
