We really would have had to give him a little time lest we turn the job into a revolving door. Papa Phil's choice was of the utmost importance. I think he hit a home run.

Hard to say. Bartoo doesn't go by Vegas, but recruited talent and field advantage as to if you should have won or lost and how much a coach affects things. It's pretty crude. I'd guess Pruitt got a +1 for Auburn last year, but a -1 vs Vandy. I'd guess he also received -2 this year for the first 2. Since then, I'm not sure he would get any +1s.

Sort of harsh at UT in a way, few opportunities for plusses (uf, uga, bama, and maybe usc on the road), but plenty of opportunties to lose to teams that can't recruit within 15 spots of us. But also tells us 8-4 should really be our longer term floor with a good coach.
