No other outlet in town is going to Alaska to tell Tennessee football stories, and I'm not sure many, if any are even going out to California to do it, either.

The reason people take what you say ”out of context” is because they do read your little zinger tweets. Don’t come in here and act like VN is exclusive in calling you out on it. You get drug on twitter too.

Glad you think it's funny...the negative Knox media is one of the biggest factors in the struggle to right the ship..

Screw him and John Adams..this crap isn't funny to me. Alabama fans would have the dude kicked out of the state and his life ruined by now..

Ubben has posted some snarky stuff that I didn’t like, including linking that hit piece the other day, But he’s far from the same level as Adams, Toppemeyer and the rest of the garbage at KNS

I actually like the Athletic. And I think Rexrode does a good job. And half the time I don’t mind Ubben. I think the fact the Knoxville media tries to out-crap on the program with every single article they write and show they host, it makes him seem that much more unbearable. It’d be nice to have some homers who could figure out how to properly polish a turd when they needs to rather than use it as a way to snowflake their way around town.

Who’d a thought Rucker would end up being our homer?🤷🏽‍♂️

But I don't really care about writing "positive" or "negative" stories. I care about writing stories that allow our readers to learn new things. A win tomorrow will tie him for best SEC record since Fulmer! (I know I started saying this 3 weeks ago, and everybody's heard it: but it is a milestone.) This (tying BJ's absolute best year) should be our worst year going forward. Grant us this, O football gods.

It's crazy the amount of truly fascinating TN or CFB stories that have never been written by a "professional".

A true look at how often debated calls favor teams in line to reach bowls that bring the conference higher payouts, my goodness.

Could honestly list a dozen more things that truly captivate fans, things we actually discuss every day that reporters are afraid to touch.


An honest comparison at how different teams are portrayed by media would really set the stage 😅
