The Impeachment Thread

I just dropped by r/politics over on Reddit. They are in Part IV of their discussion thread about the hearings with 17,000 comments in the last hour. Impressive.

Ok. Best I can tell is your defense of an argument some other group didn’t make is to point to an argument I didn’t make either. I’ll bet your fun with jurys.

“No you dumb simple minded ***** listen to my elegant intellectual message!”

🤦‍♂️
Still a total word salad that makes no sense. Only one of us is trying to sound smart and sophisticated, here. It’s not me.

I said the philosophy of the right is centered around personal moral values that are independent of the government, I.e. religion.

You said that wasn’t true and gave no real counter definition but said it was true, just not true for you.

I understood what @Velo Vol was saying to be effectively the same: not all members of the left believe this.

Just because you, individually, don’t agree with what I’m saying, or what you think I’m saying, doesn’t mean it’s invalid as applied to the political doctrine as a whole. (Which, admittedly, may not be what Velo was saying, but is precisely what you said).

Nope.

And I stand by thinking most jurists just sit there and look at you funny.

Sorry. That's not it. At least not for me. It's the silence and turning the blind eye when Obama caged kids, but as soon as Trump is elected, it's all Trump doing this. Now it matters to libs cause it's not one of theirs. It has nothing to do with..but, but...or whataboutisms...it's the double standard we are tired of being measured with. Why didn't the left impeach Obama when he killed American agents with the guns he sold to Mexico? They went out of their way o sweep it under the rug. Why wasn't Hils busted for Russia contributing to the Clinton Foundation when she was SOS. It's not about whether Trump did wrong or not, we just don't give a s*** because of all the precedents the left has set forth the last 8 years prior to Trump.

This type of surrender to moral relativism was half of the point I was trying to make.

I didn't think it would turn out well for the radical left, it went even worse for them then I thought it would. Pelosi has to be fuming over her 18th martini for the day

Yeah. Talk about being able to see right through a open window. You can't tell me Schiff knew even Sonlond would split 50/50 on his testimony. Every single witness never truly got off the fence and basically plunged an ungreased broom handle into his deep state. His wife don't eff him that much.

This is all OT, but the government doesn't have values.

At this (big picture) level, the definition of liberal/conservative centers on the viewed relationship between the individual and the government. Not the specific things the government is doing.

I love how the media keeps spinning that he was asking for dirt in his rival opponents.

Let’s say he did ask for dirt on the Biden with the Ukraine job. He did ask to actually investigate it.

That’s Biden’s son, who isn’t running, that would be getting investigated.

Not Biden the VP.

Just another way the media has gaslighted everyone.
Trump is the one who said it on the phone call:

“There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, what Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that, so whatever you can do with the attorney general would be great,”

Trump then said, “Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution, so if you can look into it, it sounds horrible to me.”

According to Sondland, Trump didn't even want the investigation, just for Zelensky to go public with it. It was agreed that he would speak on CNN (CNN verified, but didn't know he was going to say anything about Biden) It was cancelled after the aid was released.

Biden was beating Trump soundly in the polls at the time.

If you truly are non partisan than you know these Polls are bogus and worthless.

Except it wasn't just because of the meeting. Trump withheld congressionally approved military aid. That is bribery... you get your money when we get our political favor.
Didn't withhold anything
No investigation was started into the Biden crime family
No bribery, or as you all called it 2 weeks ago, no quid pro quo.
