2020 Presidential Race

I’m sure there are some that voted for him over Hillary because he’s a man. That wouldn’t shock me at all.
Possibly, but why make such obtuse leaps in logic with nothing to support the argument? Someone doesn't have to be gay to support Pete, just as someone doesn't have to be an adulterer to support Trump. It's just a dumb assumption to make IMO.

Pete released his higher education policy today, the American Opportunity Agenda.
Some highlights:

-Tuition free public college for 80% of Americans, including all families that earn up to $100,000 annually. Substantial tuition subsidies for families earning up to $150,000 annually.
-$120 billion increase in Pell Grants to pay for tuition, housing, and food costs at any university that is right for them.
-$50 billion investment in HBCUs and Tribal colleges.
-Automatic enrollment for student loan borrowers in income-based repayment plans. Loan forgiveness after 20 years of payment.
-Tax deduction for any business offering apprenticeship, internship, or work-study programs in technical fields.
-$50 billion investment for technical degree fields.

Paying for the plan:
This is part of Pete's overall domestic investment plan, which will be paid for by increasing capital gains taxes on the top 1%, rolling back Trump era tax cuts on the wealthy, and trimming health care costs.

You've got to be kidding.

How does he determine who's capital gains go up?

But your cool with the stealing from Vets?
Please read carefully

Conclusion
Trump was ordered to pay $2 million to a list of agreed-upon charities as damages for the waste incurred by the fact that his political campaign orchestrated and benefited from distributing around $2.8 million in donations to veterans groups. (That $2 million in damages was separate from the roughly $1.7 million the Trump Foundation had already agreed to distribute to various charities, as part of the resolution dissolving the Foundation.)

Neither Trump, nor his children, nor his charity, were found to have “stolen” or kept the funds, and so none “admitted” to such actions (as Rashid falsely claimed in his tweets). The New York Supreme Court explicitly acknowledged that all the funds raised from the January 2016 Iowa event did ultimately end up with veterans groups.

The irony in those claims was that it was, in fact, the manner in which the Trump Foundation and Trump campaign colluded in distributing the donations to veterans charities that landed the president in hot water, not his having “stolen” the donations.

🤷🏻‍♂️ Maybe straight white males just commit more hate crimes than others?

Doesn’t seem like this is a topic of great immediate or personal concern for any of you guys, which I’m very happy to hear.
Yeah not a criminal, so punishment is not a personal concern.

Is this the same payment plan he had for his M4AWWI plan? Or is it an additional structure?

Reason I ask is because the payment plan for the M4AWWI didnt get anywhere close to the numbers it needed in the back of napkin math I did earlier in this thread.

So if this is part of the same it increases that deficit even more. If it's another structure, yay taking more. Additionally I doubt this plan covers the costs he says it does just based on the previous shortcomings in his plans.

Is America ready for a gay president? Buttigieg surge poses question

"A poll released last month found that 45 percent of those questioned thought America was not, or probably not ready for a gay president.

Interviews conducted in July with a sample of black Democratic voters in North Carolina found some were uncomfortable with Buttigieg's sexual orientation, according to a campaign team memo leaked to the media"

I saw a poll today that showed he polls at "less than 1%" with black voters in South Carolina, so he had better put on his pandering shoes. He probably has a closet full of shoes..

I support Pete because of his policies and because I believe in his message.
You support free college? You support redistribution of wealth to people that didn't earn it? You support a wealth tax whereby you have to determine your net worth every year? (The last one apples to everybody, because otherwise how can you PROVE you aren't a billionaire? )
