They also used to think lobotomies and prescribing methamphetamines was a good idea. Science and medicine progresses, regardless of your incorrect opinions and outdated, foolish thinking. But, it is your right. So, carry on with your obvious disdain for people different than your narrow world view. They’d rather waste billions than call it what it is....mental illness.

So, if they have been wrong in the past, they could be wrong about any number of unprovable things now, right? They also used to think lobotomies and prescribing methamphetamines was a good idea. As far as gender concerning anatomy and biology, there are two (the gender binary). We also know what science says about gender and how many genders there are, do you prescribe to science on this topic or are you like the majority of liberals today who pretend that there “are no genders” or “numerous” genders?
I know you can't answer but I'll ask.Right. Being a Presbyterian and identifying as a Baptist is exactly the same as looking down in your pants, seeing a penis, and calling yourself a girl.
I think I heard that argument about Protestants marrying Catholics in the 60's, and marriages between the different ethnicities in the 70's.Much like this?

Because putting things together that don’t belong, well, this is what happens.
No it isn't. People identify as all sorts of different things. Religion, politics, sports fans, etc. That doesn't make one mentally ill.

When it comes to how someone identifies their own gender, there is a spectrum.
Stop Using Phony Science to Justify TransphobiaYou are equating being a fan of a certain team to a person born a male saying he’s not really male but female? That’s a laughable comparison and nowhere close to being similar. It’s delusion/fantasy and holds as much weight as a person identifying as a giraffe. You can say you are this or that as much as you want, doesn’t make it true. You guys like science when it’s convenient, but ignore it on this subject. Let me help you, you are born male or female. No in between. That’s science.
It is pointless really to attempt to discuss this issue on the board. There is far too much anger and disdain from the Right concerning this issue to have a civil conversation about it. I usually try to avoid it but took the bait earlier. I should know better.
This is a brutal error zep, I never thought he had a chance to begin with but this may for sure end him and will also he used in the future against him.The campaign did respond, this morning:
-One stock photo of a Kenyan mother and kid was used on the website. It was removed shortly afterwards.
-The Intercept's (original source of the story) claim of "42% white supporters in the letter" is not proven. The Intercept even stated in the article that it was their "belief". Not exactly a solid claim. Not that it should matter anyways, white people support Pete's Douglass plan, too.
-Some of the people in the letter circulated supported the plan, but haven't endorsed Pete. Many said it gave the appearance of an endorsement. That is a fair and valid critique of the campaign.
I don't think anything nefarious was going on, just seemed amateurish to me. But it isn't the best look for the SC for Pete campaign group. Lis will get it sorted out.
Ninja Edit: Also, the tweet is intentionally misleading by leaving out some key details.
The source article was worse, and a blatant attack piece against Pete. This is how it will be from here on out, I get that. It is a good thing in a way; they view Pete as a legitimate threat. Otherwise they wouldn't be performing such mental gymnastics to go after him. Just what happens when a candidate has a nine point lead in the gold standard of Iowa polls released last night.
We'll see if it stays in the news cycle. It is also only three people lodging the complaint, not 400.This is a brutal error zep, I never thought he had a chance to begin with but this may for sure end him and will also he used in the future against him.
