Come on man....stop blaming the refs for this. That's just pathetic. We're losing because Murray has completely outplayed us so far.

Look how many young guys we’ve played this game so far. Although I agree that we haven’t played well defensively, Murray still has made shots.

Vols will be lucky to go .500 this year - going to be a long season. Defense was abysmal and we have no inside presence. But Go Vols.

It’s only game 2 but I’m very concerned about opponents speeding us up and anyone with half decent post play is gonna eat is alive.

I think the biggest things I've seen is:
1) UT doesn't have an inside presence with Fulkerson out.
2) As tall as Kent is he appears to be a true defensive liability. He doesn't even fill space.
3) We have got to get more out of Turner and James.
4) Lamonte doesn't appear as effective on offense when he is the primary ball handler.
5) Pons has improved his shot a lot.
6) Murray State is just shooting the ball well and is playing aggressive.

57% from 3 for the Racers. YIKES. And I somehow don't seem to believe that is going to drop in the second half. This is kind of their thing.

Well, wasn’t the best half. Couple things that I think go our way in the second though. 1. They shot it great. Partly on us, partly great shooting but I think we change that in the second half. 2. Fulkerson and Bowden were in foul trouble first half, that’s not a good sign with this team. Get them back in the second half and this team looks different. 3. Lamonte was 0-5 on the first half, gotta think that changes.

So who in the heck are you talking about then? Cause none of the teams shot 3’s like that through both halves last year.

Missing the inside game from LY. And a bevy of leaders who could carry the entire team on his shoulders when required.

Seems like most of our 5 star guys take about 3 years to turn into solid college players.. not trying to be a downer but outside of maybe Tobias I can’t think of any 5 stars that came here and made an immediate impact.. of course I’m kind of young so only been watching about 15 years so I’m sure there were some before then.
