'20 TN DE Jay Hardy (Auburn commit)

Bass ain't lying, y'all.

Exact quotes from AP on the VQ board:

"Auburn in a shocker. Things got hairy in the last 24 hours because Jay spoke to multiple Vol commitments on Monday night and told them it was TN. He privately committed to TN 3 months ago and asked me to come down and tape stuff in early August to hold till later in the year. Last weekend during his official the entire family sat down with the staff and told them it was once again Tennessee. The Vols just got stunned and I think everyone is a bit shocked."

Tried to tell y’all VN would go ham on him if something like this happened and got eviscerated, Everyone got played here top to bottom. He was all Vol until the Barn put a number out there. Signing day is not til December. Go Vols.
🙄
It's the exact same posters as always. "I told you so" doesn't really go with a "the sky is blue" post.
Certain ones do it every miss and disappear when there's proof.

Hell, there's a couple of them that I swear would rather miss the recruit, just so they can.😅

Damn...some of you folks are overreacting. All the "insiders" were right...the kid made a last minute switch or had been lying to folks. This happens with indecisive kids. Quit flipping out over it. I doubt it's over and the coaches will keep recruiting him. Odds are pretty good that this commitment isn't that firm.

We just got reminded of a few universal truths regarding Vols recruiting.
  1. Volnation has no insiders...NONE.
  2. Auburn has better bagmen than UT and they're not afraid to use them.
  3. A verbal commitment from a high school kid isn't worth a bucket of piss. Until they sign the LOI, don't consider them committed.

Happens every year. People think AV controls these recruits. AV got played just like everyone else.

Your first statement is complete BS.
