KY got a bye week and we are a little banged up; that's their only hope. I do not see a one dimensional offense doing much against us the way our defense is playing right now. Bowden is a good player for sure. But MSU came in here, who by the way beat KY 28-13, and they could not move the ball against us at all in the run game. Hill, who led the conference in rushing at the time and had ran for 120 yards against KY was held to 13 yards against us. SC was also a good running team and they ran for a measly 78 yards against us. If all you can do is run the football with no passing threat, good luck against us with the way that we are playing right now. They cannot pass at all. They passed for 63 yards against Mizzou, 88 yards against Arkansas, and 35 yards against GA.
Oh, and as far as KY's defense goes... they're giving up 5 ypc in the rushing game right now. SC rushed for 247 yards against them. Arkansas, who is the worst team in football, ran for 183 yards against them. We may not be a juggernaut at running the football, but we'll be able to run against them. And if they stack the box, there's no way they're covering JJ and Callaway at receiver. We will be able to run the ball and set up play action and we will score on them with big plays.
Their only hope on Saturday is that Maurer is unavailable and we get BYU JG. That's their only hope imo. I think we beat them something like 28-7. If Maurer plays the full game it'll be more like 38-7
