They won’t hire him but he could throw a fishing net in a crowd of people and pull in more talent than he gets at Washington State.

He would have them #2 in the conference by the end of season 3

Easily. His antics could wear people out but I’d love to see it. How crazy would it be if he went to Ky? Seeing how he’s from the Hal Mumme tree...

The FF is on the edge of their seats expecting positive results to reinforce their "hahr coach, fahr coach" scientific theory.

The usual suspects will read whatever they want from whatever happens.

To be fair, it's only one case. Hardly a rigorous study of the matter.

Seems Mark Stoops is the hire, be real surprised if he ain't announced soon.

Was their DC before taking the HC job at Kentucky. And he's managed 3 straight (likely 4 straight with UT Martin & Vandy still to play) bowl games there, which is well above expectations for UK.
Announced soon? Doubtful it’s announced before seasons over. But I agree that it’s likely Mark Stoops.

I don't think that would be that crazy. Though he doesn't often speak of his time at UK. I think he's pretty happy in Pullman but I could see him taking a big time job if offered. WSU -> UK is barely an improvement. SEC yeah, but not a good situation.

Yes, but there are quotes there from Ray Anderson who is still employeed as AD at ASU. At the time in 2017 it was widely speculated he and Currie were pals. Just found it interesting when brought up earlier by a co-worker. Could he possibly be harboring some feelings towards UT and Fulmer is all I was alluding to.
Very possible. I am sure that that did everything they could to make sure he sat out another year.

Guess we'll disagree because I just thought people were being way sensitive with all the other stuff. Overreacting to every little thing said it was a weird obsession for awhile.

RE: Pruitt...

Went to FF couple weeks ago. One dude searched my post history demanding an apology! 😆😂 Ahhh the FF.

I could totally see Barnes playing Uros while ineligible until the NCAA gives him a reason for being denied.

They'll vacate a couple W's I suppose and give up a BS excuse that will go public and will likely make them look bad.

The thing to never forget about Florida State is that they were offered to join the SEC in the expansions and they refused specifically because the schedules were too hard. This is a matter of record and it was FSU's winningest coach of all time who said it.
Yep. He said something like why would he want to be in the SEC and get his team banged up every week in a much tougher conference when he could stay in the ACC and have two tough games a year?

Pretty sure that stuff is private. Uros could make it public if he chose, as some players have.

And that just sounds childish. Barnes is a grown man and is going to do with what he has. He knew the risks when Uros chose to transfer against the rule and hope for an exception to it.

I think there are about 15 programs a coach could win a NC at. Maybe a handful of others that could with a once in a generation type season.

We’re one of the former.
Wasn't sure, but the numbers check out. Here's my 17, in no particular order, but recent champs off top of my head listed first:

Bama
Clemson
Osu
Fsu
Florida
Lsu
Auburn
Usc
Ou
Texas
Miami
Tennessee
Georgia
Mich
Penn st
Oregon
ND

_____
Bubble teams 18&19: A&M (resources) and Nebraska (history)
