There's something to it for sure.

Chandler has had 2 solid games is a row after Jordan had a good one against Bama.

Need both to continue to be productive.
Thinking about rewatching several games and seeing if I can identify what the connection is.
Ty is obviously quicker and while he can take a hit, they still seem to go Tim when it's large majority abusive runs.

Might be interesting to compare our offensive plans and the difference in defenses, game to game.
Either way, I'm convinced it's a case of "chess not checkers". They may miss it sometimes but it's definitely more than just throwing a dart to see who and in which game.

Plus, UT is very intent on stability. Last week, Randy Boyd indicated he would be open to continuing to serve as UT President after his interim term. That likely extends Fulmer, and John Compton is very supportive of both. His term runs through 2024, and the board is strong under his leadership. Our BB coaches are very secure, happy to be at UT and committed to building championship teams. Given the level of commitment and support, Pruitt seems likely to stick and put a foundation under football. For the first time in more than a decade, UT has committed leadership and seems on firm footing. This is a good environment for coaches and a good place to build elite programs.
We DESPERATELY need stability. LA, will strength coach Fitzgerald be retained next year ? He is another key piece in the rebuild!

IIRC only one of them has gotten a 25 carry game and that was Chandler against BYU. I think part of the idea is just getting both through the season and keep them as fresh as they can. And they have spotted Gray about 6 or 7 a game to lighten it some more.

Both appear to be pretty healthy going into the last 3 games.

TIFWIW. No Pruitt.

You take out the "wild guesses" in Jimbo, Jim, & Bowden that's about where I expect them as well.

I think a few -in state- schools should be checking on their head coaches.

The first "top" paid head coach I think may be a target is of course Jeff Brohm, but he's the 8th highest paid coach in college right now and hasn't even earned what he's getting yet.

Franklin is where he wants to be and is from the Northeast so he's not leaving, and Penn State pays him well.

Taggart was the 15th highest paid coach already, so you're likely giving someone a raise to replace him.

My list of candidates, fwiw
Charlie Strong - big time cultural guy, in state so he's got a leg up on recruiting
Mark Stoops - has proven to be able to develop talent and a good culture, FSU is gonna be easier to recruit and he'll be in a weaker conference he could do really well there
Matt Campbell - obvious name to be on any list
P.J. Fleck - obvious name to be on any list
Mike Norvell - at some point people are going to realize this guy is legit, 4 straight 8 win seasons...Fuente only did it twice there
Josh Heupel - in state already and doing well, plus can run offense
Dave Clawson - Not sure he'll move within conference or not, but he's got Wake Forest rolling
Kevin Sumlin - I mean Arizona isn't the easiest place to recruit, so what he's doing there in year 2 isn't reflective of him as a HC imo...at FSU I think he's likely to be a 10 win guy
Lane Kiffin - in state and can recruit, high power offense and I'm sure he'd love to be at a Power 5 again
Jim McElwain - laugh it up...but he won at Florida, got a short leash after back to back SEC Championship games, and he's already won 6 games with CMU and has Dormady looking like a QB.

I wish I could like this more than once.

I don't see this happening. Why would you want to leave a program that you have just started to turn the corner on to go to another trashed out program just to start doing it again. I don't see FSU being a more attractive program than UT and I believe CP is an SEC man.

8 million a year with a big buyout? If we don’t match, he goes. But, like I posted, that money won’t be there for him at this point.

FSU didn't pay Jimbo that to keep him...why on earth would they offer it to Pruitt?

lol

Real talk, us talking about Pruitt being poached is the biggest hand wringing I've seen in awhile. Classic catbone! I think there's just 2 HC in all of college that are making 8 million a season....FSU gonna offer that to Pruitt? nah...

@volatil None of this would have been possible without you and the staff at STR. Specifically you, since you were the one who posted it here first but then VN did what we do...we took care of our own when they were down. We did it for RichRollin, @chargervol and several others. That's what makes this board great.

What @Atlanta VOL did today was...I can't even describe. Holy crap y'all. Not only did he pitch in a TON for Ashlee, he gave me and my girls the best day I've ever had in Neyland. He's a helluva dude too. Super nice host, down to earth, good guy, great company, and made my family feel welcome. I'll never forget that.

AV, when we get the house built, you're getting an invite to the party that I'm throwing....might not rival yours but I can give it a shot. Plus, a good friend of mine is an award winning chef, I told him he has to cater....there will be a spread.

Anyway... I'll post more when I can, we just got home. Here isr Mrs. ob79 and my girls. Ashlee's the youngest.View attachment 235661
This is petty, but I just have to tag @I_Bleed_Orange77 since he's one of the biggest AV trolls. Be jealous all you want, but the dude is real and legit.

I know he's not going anywhere this year

Money they’re forking out just to fire Taggart? Not even a tire kick. Stoops gets a courtesy interview but only because of their history. You have to believe they have their guy all but MOU’d, for them to jettison Taggart this early and paying even more.
Agreed, otherwise keep him on see if he can get you to a bowl. They have two winnable games with AL St and BC.
