Not sure which has the lowest odds-- FSU coming after Pruitt, who has a worse record at UT than the coach they just fired, or Pruitt actually going. But bring on the Mark Stoops rumors. It's Game Week, and what's bothersome to UK is helpful to UT.
Can’t hurt recruiting...with the number of head to heads our two programs are involved.

Saw a UK site, "Blue" something, pushing the narrative last night.

"Chargercat" bout to be a narrative pushing mofo.

Makes me wonder how many of you people are plants from other fan bases.

Sometimes it's really obvious. But how often does someone play the long game?

Probably more common in the FF.

Let’s be real... We’ve seen this story played out before

1. I love Pruitt and I see where this is going with him at UT so I hope he stays 30 years. However, they're not even calling Pruitt. Pruitt is 9-12 so far at UT. Taggart was 9-12 at FSU. You don't fire someone in year two, pay an $18mil buyout, and hire someone with the identical record.

2. Pruitt and staff have been working their asses off rebuilding a program in Knoxville and are starting to see it turn. You think he's going to leave that to start over, again, in Tallahassee? Not a chance.

3. Phillip Fulmer is Pruitt's AD and has given him everything he's asked for and then some. You don't walk away from a boss like that to jump head first into a dumpster fire. Fulmer wouldn't let him leave anyway, he'd give him a raise if he had to.

4. FSU isn't a better job, sorry, it's not.

Man, it's going to take a long time and many years of therapy for our fans to have their BVS repaired if we're already worried about Pruitt leaving for the newly vacant FSU job. Wait until we're 9-3 or 10-2 next fall and some good jobs come open...the meltdowns for no reason will be aplenty!

The homer side can't help but point out there seems to be a direction difference though.

That tweet about them being unwatchable and "chirpers" was gloriously beautiful.
I agree that the eye test is remarkably in favor of Pruitt and its not close. Taggart ran a dumpster fire all 21 games. Pruitt has not.

I agree it is a good job...I just don't like the constant putdowns of Tennessee to make that point.

Do we not get enough of that condecending garbage from the media and other schools fans? Why do we have so many of our fans that want to put us down too?
This. Others schools and other coaches are so loved. The grass is always greener Syndrome. And we have fans that always want to prove it.

Went to the game Saturday with some buddies who had never been to a UT game before. We had quite a few "pops" before the game, so my recollection of the first half is blurry. They wanted to head back to the bars for more pops at halftime, so we headed out early and I didn't catch much of the second half.

Logging on here yesterday morning, there was not a lot of excitement from the board, which was surprising considering we routed what many thought was a solid team.

I watched the replay last night and thought we played really good ball against a good team. Plenty of things to improve on, but with a patchwork OL, I thought we played really well.

The most telling stat, to me at least, is that UAB did not run a single play inside the UT 30 yard line until there there was 4:01 left in the game. That is damn dominate D boys.

Basically every school on your top tier list took a major step back with the loss of a coach, in your arbitrary 20 year timeline. Maybe not OSU or OK (don't remember) but everyone else.

Alabama has been known for CFB, spending money, championships and being able to make hires like Saban for almost as long as CFB has been on the map. Perfectly centered amongst La, TX, Ga and Fl and multiple, multiple 10 win seasons even in their 20yr "step back".

Honestly, your qualifiers appear to change from post to post, often conflict and it even vary based on whatever best supports the original FSU post.
I thought that was funny about Bama and one coach so they don't qualify for the top tier.

There's a long-standing narrative around college football (used here quite often) that you don't fire a coach before year three.

I'm interested to see that narrative get a real-world test at a place like Florida State.
Would be interesting to see but not sure the public will really know. Often, the whole "feelers" thing is put out for this very reason. Avoiding a public shun.

Willie may very well be a crap coach but this last timeline was ridiculous, regardless of the hire.
The other narrative often pushed here "because ___ is actually serious about FB" would even have the likes of Leach kicked in his pirate arse.

I’m curious to what red flags ?

I liked him a lot and obviously was wrong
Gimmicky - reminded me of Butch. I happened to nail that one.
Willingness to jump after one year
I can only imagine he pitched his offense in an interview but he publically called it "Lethal Simplicity". Good coaches dont consider their offenses a specialty. I cant think of a single one who nicknamed it and/or pumped it up and had success.
Never having to recruit at an elite level
Had to WORK toward developing elite relationships and needed Mark Stoops time to do it. FSU obviously didnt have 2 years worth.

Not saying he didnt have good qualities. He did.

Looking down the road a bit, and playing coaching dominoes, if Mark Stoops goes to FSU I’d bet Kentucky calls Tee to gauge his interest. Maybe Ansley too.

Sorry you missed the game. Think guys were expecting the offense they saw in the SC game and couldn't get past that to enjoy the good things that were happening.
