Uros Plavsic commits to Tennessee

I applaud the ncaa for not allowing a player to transfer outside of the rules for a coach leaving if that’s all we had

Can’t open that can of worms

Sucks for us but it’s the right decision under current rules

Not going to dwell on this, but it’s more than that considering the coach was someone from his country in which he felt comfortable. He also was in high school in Chattanooga.

I guarantee that a kid who transferred for playing time has created some argument to get the NCAA to grant a waiver. This process is ridiculous. Not going to argue about anymore though.

We don’t know what any of these situations were

We need to stop acting like we know
What we do know is that he did not play in any games so this will be two years he did not play in any games. How and why would you deny a player that has already sat out a season.

Not saying it is. Still not great to miss three tourneys in five years (and that might not be the case, I’m not saying the season is over).

Geez. Counting the first two years where he inherited a disaster? I get arguing about year 5, but years 1 and 2 are ridiculous. I don’t get some of our fans.

No one wanted to listen when I told this board a month or so ago but that’s an easy answer

Not playing isn’t a factor in transfer waivers

None

Fulmer's statement was very strong. Wonder if there's any way at all they can appeal and Plavsic can get eligible for SEC play?

Probably not, but his wording made it sound like they're going to keep trying.

I understand the situation he inherited. It’s still not good to miss 3/5 tourneys (if that even happens).

Why don’t we take about 15-20% off there big shooter
Lol like bro why even mention firing? It’s like we get it you don’t like Barnes. But damn dude it’s annoying how negative you get all the time after every little step back for the program. Sorry zjc, Barnes is the basketball coach for the foreseeable future. Don’t like it all you want, but could you at least not be annoying all the time about it? Everyone knows your stance bud

Because this board has a tendency to overreact when a criticism of Barnes is made that I am immediately asking for his firing, so because of that I have to put that caveat so people can’t automatically starting asking “WELLLLLLWHY DO YA WANT HIM FIRED”

And we are talking about Uros being ineligible to play, which hurts our tournament chances, which if we don’t make the tourney, hurts the program. So it’s relevant. And I’ve stated multiple times that they could definitely make the tourney. Could everyone not be annoying when I make a criticism of Barnes that I’m not advocating for his firing?

It’s really annoying.

Ironically we discussed this very topic awhile back and it seems that tenn was very uncooperative with helping UConn. Perfect example of why we shouldn’t expect schools to always play the game
If you think this, you might want to read UCONN AD's statement. He said Tennessee was very cooperative.
