What in the wide world of sports...He really thinks UAB has a better Offensive line? Averaging 154.3 yards a game with the weakest schedule in college football, I guess crushing cans means something...
What's sad is I could see most of our media guys doing the same thing, UAB media obviously has homer googles on. TN media has the exact opposite!

Yesterday morning, Evan Dudley, the writer that covers the UAB Blazers for AL.com, published his typical game week position breakdown between UAB’s position groups and those of their opponent for that week, in this case, Tennessee.

This is what he writes:

Quarterbacks – Advantage UAB
Running Backs – Advantage Even
Receivers – Advantage Even
Offensive Line – Advantage UAB
Defensive Line – Advantage Even
Linebackers – Advantage UAB
Secondary – Advantage Tennessee
Special Teams – Advantage Even
Coaching – Advantage Even
Overall – Advantage Even

I really hope we beat UAB by 60 now.

The more I look at that breakdown, the more puzzled I become.

The fact that with their soft schedule UAB has just 3.8 YPC (same as us) and has thrown 10 INTs is crazy... I hope we absolutely destroy them.

This is why I think we will be fine. 42-13 tomorrow. You can't throw 10 INT's against literally the worst defenses in CFB and still be considered good. Their OL will also be shown how horrible they are because the DL's they've faced so far have been below meh. It's going to be a bad day for UAB tomorrow.

I mean most national media etc. have us as the favorites. But once I bothered to look at how they've done as a team it's pretty bad, considering the level of competition they've faced. They've thrown a couple more TDs and had a few more rushing TDs, but yardage is all the same. And we've played some of the best defenses in the country (3 of them actually). But we'd also say we've been fairly disappointing as an offense with a few exceptions.

The teams UAB has beaten have a combined 2-35 fbs record...and 1 of those wins came from 2 of the uab opponents facing off, so 1 team had to win.

The lone win that wasn't a factual neccesity was when utsa beat mighty 1-7 Utep. Ya can't make this stuff up!

Lol, statistically they look pretty good, until you adjust for that. Man that's a weak schedule.

Yeah I looked up their QB at the beginning of the week and saw 1700 yards thrown. Then I saw 15 TD and 10 INT's and lost most of the fear I had against this prolific UAB offense. There isn't one. They are doing exactly what they should be doing (winning), but I don't think we need to think of them as this good passing attack as they have played against 7 of the worst defenses in the league. I saw we are ~90, but we have played offenses with WAAAAAAY more firepower.

However, I say all of that to also say we can't just walk in and expect a win. I want to see our team continue to play the way they've been playing the past 3 weeks. Drive them into the dirt, welcome them to Neyland Stadium, and then never let up until it hits 00:00 4th Quarter.
