Recruiting Forum Football Talk II

In reading the article on Matt Rhule and Baylor's turnaround today on the ESPN's site I saw parallels to our Vols/Pruitt. Rhule toughened things up and a lot of guys questioned the process. His comment was why lighten up to appease some guys to win a couple of games? Developing a winning program is a commitment to a winning process. Most of the guys bought in and he built the roster. His AD told him he could see weekly improvement even when their record as 0-5. Result to this point: 1-11, 7-6, 7-0.

We've heard Pruitt talk about the buy-in required and the commitment to process. The process for the long term health of the program is more important than a couple more wins now. Fulmer stands squarely behind CJP just like Rhule's AD. The good news is all of us can even see the weekly improvement and we now look to be on the path for that 7-6, 8-5 type second year result that Rhule got. The roster has fully bought in and the future is bright.

Is there a point to taking multiple JUCO CBs? Seems like that is the one spot we are set and would want to build up 4-5 year players. I don't see the value here to be a backup Y1, maybe both years.

Public Service Announcement 2:. If you are a truck driver and it takes you 10 miles to make the pass, you probably shouldn't have attempted the pass to begin with.

If you're drive on an interstate, the ones designated by an "I", a dash and a number, and you are driving in the left lane and everyone is passing you on the right, move the ef over.
