I got several texts and DMs and the recruits can't stop talking about how crazy the atmosphere was tonight in Neyland. Said the crowd was obnoxiously loud and crazy. One top 50 recruit said this was the single best environment he has seen in over 20 UV/OVs in 3 years and he has been everywhere from clemson to Bama to aTm to USC and just think the stadium was only 90% full.

Is it time to stop looking at some mid tier guys and get back to the Paris Johnson, Tate Ratledge, and Rakim Jarretts' of the world?

I mean look at some of the recruiting classes in the last few years guys? OSU can't recruit 5 top notch OL every year, LSU has 3 WR every year, UGA has a new OL every year, it is time to start to break the trends!

They should really accept that it was a once in a lifetime fluke. They are kinda starting to look ignorant

Ehhh, sure it was flukey, but the fact of it is they won and nobody can take that away from them. Let ‘em roll around in it, it’s theirs. If we don’t like it we can make sure to beat the Ga. States of the world.

The loudest, most electric atmosphere at a Vols game that I have attended since the 1991 Florida game, where Heath Shuler hit Mose Phillips on a screen pass that he housed in the pouring rain. Multiple plays tonight were louder than that Shuler to Phillps TD, which shocked me. I can see why multiple recruits were impressed, because I was and I've been going to games at Neyland for over 40 years. The Vols, coaches and fans all brought it tonight. Despite only winning our 3rd game in 8 tonight, this game moves into my top 5 that I attended and that's saying something, imo

And we were short about 15,000 under capacity

I'm telling ya. Pruitt loves JG and desperately wants him to succeed. All of his boys to succeed. He is hard, but he loves hard as well.
i think it's really important to note that while he was extremely hard on JG last week, the trust he showed this week, the reaction to a job well done.....well, what that tells you is that the guy genuinely does care abou the kid. and i would imagine that it goes well beyond just JG.

it also tells you that he's fair. JG effed up last week bad ,and was treated accordingly. this week, he got his shot at redemption and took advantage of it and was treated accordingly.

one of the things i've been fortunate of in my professional career is to have bosses that told me the truth. i never had to walk out of a meeting with them wondering what they meant by that, good or bad. something i've tried to do with people that have worked for me.

so on that level, to see him do what he did to JG last week, and then to see it come full circle this week..........pretty freaking awesome. credit both. it takes two to have that kind of relationship and it would have been real easy for either or both to check out after last week......

really happy for JG, and pruitt....and volnation in general. that was freaking awesome all the way around.
