Coaches know the way to win the fans is to win games. So when it comes to who plays, they don't care how the fans feel. Fans aren't in practice, the coaches are. As long as the team wins, no one cares who plays and who doesn't play.

Of course teams need butts in the seats. That’s a given. They also prob want an awesome atmosphere.

I think any HC is gonna be upset with 3-9 or 4-8, as well as any fanbase. The coaches aren’t going to be upset with themselves bc fans don’t show up. They’re gonna be upset that they’re losing. Worrying about fans is most likely pretty far down the list in terms of things to worry about.

So yes, you lose a bunch — fans don’t come to games — you are in trouble.

But for coaches I’d say it’s more: you lose a bunch — you are in trouble.

They’re worried about losing their team, losing the support of the AD, how to get better, what schemes to run, who the next opponent is, etc etc. This doesn’t even include their personal lives. They most certainly are not worried about fans.

You ever play ball? Any kind of ball at a high(ish) level? Fans always think they know what’s going on, but inside that locker room and coach’s offices they’re thinking about a billion other things than what the fans want.

Anyone have odds of us going to a bowl now? I think we are up to 1 in 3 odds. Chances are at least reasonable now. Looked completely unrealistic after Florida. Love seein this team grow

i have no faith that 2 can go "win" the game either. i think if there's any other options, we shoudl explore those. do not mis understand me here...i'm not advocating for JG here. i'm advocating for understanding the bigger picture in regards to where we are as a program....and how that would be perceived by the very people we need to help fix this thing......recruits.

Welp...can't argue with that. I'm just salty because the thought of seeing him on the field again in a Vol uniform makes me want to throw up.

Well.. I'm not excited at the prospect either... But if he goes out there I'm rooting for him.

Well...I hope he plays well too..but..the chances of that are about one in a hundred in my opinion. The idea of watching him spazz out on every freakin pass play is sickening. I wouldn't put it past the idiot to fumble multiple snaps and handoffs at this point.

i just knew we were losing the MSU game when he came in
