I think what Pruitt is attempting to do is eventually going to work...I think Chad Morris will be fired before Halloween next year.

I wouldn't blame Arkansas for firing Morris, but he inherited a worse situation than Pruitt. The West is much better than the East. Bret Bielema recruited worse than Butch each year. His record was worse than Butch each year and he recruited for a Big 10 type, 1990 pound it up the middle offense. Morris runs the spread he brought to Clemson. He's 2-5 this year and just had a moral victory vs Texas A&M a couple games ago when they almost won and another last year vs Bama when Arkansas scored more on them than any team before the CFB playoff started.

I must disagree, he has out coached two HC's one from Missisippi and one from Chattanooga, it isn't a talent thing, ask almost anyone on this very board, we are way more talented than almost any team we've lost to. But I got to hand it to him, we almost whooped 5 teams that we lost to, we're getting better and have put the entire college football world on notice, yes sir!

I get your sarcasm but with a QB likely Pruitt has a very good season this year. Bama without Tua is an entirely different team and they have far better backups than Tennessee.

The question becomes, why don't we have a QB? There's no way the fans knew that JG wasn't a D1 QB the last two years and somehow the staff didn't. Turns out we passed on Gardner Minshew in 2018 for JG and now he's starting in the NFL and apparently they were so sure of the QB roster coming into this year they didn't bother with the grad transfers at all.

I’m not totally sold yet but we were at least competitive with Bama for the most part. Sure tua was out but damn Bama is stacked with talent at every position. Tennessee had less talent, experience and depth and hung with them until JG did JG things.

i don't think there is a team in the SEC that has improved more from day one than this one. Not talking the one position.

Yeah thats part of what I was saying Pruitt can say Moorhead has done such a poor job that he lost to an awful UT team.

SEC football coaches ranked: 2019 edition -

Pruitt is 5-12 and Morris is 4-13, arguably Pruitt took over a more talented team, star wise he definitely did, and certainly UT had a better record 4 year record prior to the coaching change, plus the West is tougher than the east. Not saying I agree, I don't, but objectively it's not that great of a stretch.
