We've got a good ball team. We've got running backs that run hard and pick of tough yards. We've got a line that has continued to improve and dominated Bama at times in this game after embarassing MSU last week. We've got NFL caliber receivers.

On defense we have an ever-improving, former-thrift store DLine that earned some tough sacks and TFL tonight. They routinely disrupted the pocket and plugged holes. Young and talented at the linebacker and DB positions.

We need a QB. We need Maurer to stay healthy or Shrout to have his coming out party. For as much as JG did for his PR last week, what he did tonight is the nail in the coffin. He's done. He's not welcome back.

Next season we lose seniors at a few positions that will be swiftly replaced with young talent. We at least know we have Maurer to win us games. Maybe Hill or Bailey will beat him out and be better.

Shame on some of our fans and local media
All week we were told their too big, too tough, number 1, can’t be beat, we were gonna get killed they said but we hung neck and neck and maybe were the more physical team. Great effort by the guys tonight. These guys are hopefully coming on strong. GBO!!!! **** Hyams and Ubben.... that’s all

Shrout’s throw to Palmer was so close. The defender had to make a leaping extension to bat it away.

One foot higher and he misses that ball and it is a TD
I'm one who thinks Shrout can do it. Kid has a rifle arm. Let him take plays with the ones this week. Kid can throw it all over the field. Just has no mobility it seems. Hopefully though Maurer can make it back.

JT had a near TD where a DB made a crazy play, then Wright got schooled on the sack.

What did JT do wrong? Not like he tried to QB sneak on a called sweep and fumbled the ball away for a scoop & score...

He didn't look ready but that's not a bad thing on his part. I didn't expect him to. I highly doubt he expected to see the field tonight and he was probably shocked it happened the way it did. What I'm saying is that I would take an unprepared Shrout over a prepared and experienced JG. Shrout isn't ready (he's further behind than Maurer) but he's a better option than JG given the circumstances.
