I hope we play every single game left on the schedule with the same general strategy we used this weekend. Run that damn ball, play sound defense, and get the ball to our WRs in space. It’ll milk the clock and keep our players rested. We can get to 6 wins doing that.

I also hope we see more of Tyler Byrd. Looks like he’s still fast enough to be a weapon in the slot

Anyone who can't see we've improved quite a bit from the Florida game needs help.

Over/Under 3 wins left

South Carolina at home
UAB at home
Kentucky away
Missouri away
Vandy home
Finally beating Muschamp would do wonders for the progession of the team/program. Need to win the home games, and split the away games. Imo, that split needs to be beating Kentucky. Mizzou is beatable, but doesn't really mean as much.

I think it’s likely a push but I’d still lean under.

Going to be a ton of one score games due to how bad our offense - and the opposing offenses - will be. Excluding Missouri and Alabama, going 3-1 in those games would be a good result.

I'd take the over on 3 wins left.

Our defense & running game should be enough to beat Vandy, UAB and Kentucky....we get South Carolina after they play Florida so I'm looking for them to be pretty beat up coming to Knoxville.

Missouri being after a bye week is nice, I think we'll be competitive there. Especially considering they'll have played 3 away games and faced Georgia & Florida back to back before hosting us. They have a really good defense though, and throw the ball well so I'm not super confident.

Pruitt is going to be successful here as well as Ansley. Let the coaches coach and install their systems and get the players to fit their systems. The coaching carousel has to end now.
The O Line and D Line is coming together and beginning to play like a team. It's going to be a couple years until we see the results we want but until then I'll take some of the outstanding individual performances I saw Saturday.
Trey Smith stature and demeanor demands respect. How fortunate we are to have him as he helps Morris and Wright along. Trey has earned my highest respect as a player and outstanding individual and he earned respect from the defensive lineman he buried Saturday as well.

Maurer’s first INT was just a horrible read. They ran a hitch corner and Callaway was wide open on the small hitch. Not sure if Maurer read it wrong or just decided initially to go to Jennings on the corner before the play. Hard to criticize Chaney when a throw to Callaway gets you big yards.

2nd INT was bad. He tried to throw a jump ball and give Palmer a chance. But he underthrew it by a few yards. Palmer also did no favors. He didn’t try to break up the play or make a play on the ball. He just watched the guy catch it. If you are Palmer, you do everything to avoid the INT. Even if you get OPI

His pre-snap was man coverage on the outside because that’s what they were showing. Two defenders to cover two WR’s. It looked like Jennings would be single coverage and he could throw up a jump ball and let him get it which is a good decision. That’s all Pre-snap.

The problem came during the play when UT ran a smash route taking both defenders with Jennings and leaving the other WR wide open. Maurer didn’t expect that he just threw it up to Jennings into double coverage. Had he checked the WR in the flat, he was left wide open and could have walked into the end zone with the ball for an easy TD.

Missouri away is what worries me on that list.
I think we go 2-2 in our SEC games remaining. Mizzou is a loss for sure to me. UK and USC are 50/50. Vandy is for sure a win (or as for sure as this team can be, which isn't for sure).

Push. I think Missouri away is going to be a hard game.

I like having USC Jr and Vandy at home.

Kentucky moving Bowden from WR to QB reeks of desperation. He is a heck of a player so it is scary knowing that he touches the ball every play now. The only thing that makes me feel alright is that Pruitt has shown he is able to scheme up 1 dimensional teams.

Need to remind ourselves that this team has been anything but consistent. We shouldn't expect to win 3 or 4 games and we shouldn't expect to lose them either.

There is a lot to look forward to and be hopeful about for sure. I'm just going to take it one game at a time and I hope our team does the same.

Rewatching the game and man, our OL has me so excited for the future. That group is gonna be elite in the coming years. Wanya out there pancaking guys
