Man rewatching the game myself, Maurer played as well as one could ask for. But the kid had no interest at all in handing the ball to the running back in the RPO plays. Like didn't even read the defense, just pre determined he was slinging it even in the red zone. Chaney has to correct that this week, couple of times Ty had a hole that he could've shot through had BM handed the ball off. My only real complaint with the kid

in his presser, pruitt mentioned his missed RPO reads when asked about his performance. i'd imagine that'll get some work this week.

Lot of different things happening really fast against a great defense. I cut him a break and expect that improves.

Outside of Alabama and Missouri, I think this team has at least a punchers chance in every other game. Mississippi State game Saturday is a must win IMO. If they can win that one, I think it will give the team a lot of confidence going forward. South Carolina, Kentucky and Vanderbilt need to be wins.

i think that's more natural for him.....kid's an athletic freak. would think he'd be best used at LB, not a hand in the dirt 3-4 DE....
