I think the AD realized that they were close to losing this fan base, maybe for a long time. They're trying to hold things together until things get better. They're hoping that things start getting better post Bama. They knew this was going to be a rough stretch even with wins against GSU and BYU. Now at 1-3, they're doing whatever they can to keep the fans on board. Hopefully that climb starts in three weeks. (Obviously a win next week helps too.)

I wonder if Brandon Johnson and CFA considers redshirting this year.

Johnson could be a #1 or #2 next year

A RS would be great for Brandon Johnson. This year he’s, at best, our 4th best WR and maybe 5th-6th best receiving target. Next year, he could be a valuable cog for the offense. Same might go for Byrd.


Idk about CFA, though. Unless we lose Chandler or Jordan idk if he stands to move up the depth chart.

Even if it was just a marketing strategy, it would still be a breath of fresh air after our last head coach got caught on camera saying, “ahh f*** ‘em!” to the fans.

Mississippi State game is almost a must win IMO. Winning that game would create some momentum. These guys need to see the fruits of their labor.
