Exactly like that haha. With a much better result.

LOL if a WR is that wide open, it wasn't all skill, the defense made a mistake. If it were all dependent on skill and route running, we would be able to get open like that every play. Was all skill by Maurer to throw it perfectly, but Marquez would not have been that open of the DBs hadn't messed up.

Go away. So I guess Bama's WR's are running wide open because the defense's they face screw up?? Oh by the way, UT's Wr's have been running that open plenty of times all year. They have a QB now that can actually see it happen. Goodness.

I didn’t see that as a buster coverage. They bit on a double move, maurer extended the play and moved the pocket to appear it was a flood out when Calloway broke out the safety bit and it was a TD all the way.

It was a great pass, route, and a great playcall by Chaney. Much like the UF game where DWA was wide open CJC is making good calls at the right times. Maybe now we have a QB that can execute them.

Also props to Chaney for the call. We haven’t been able to throw downfield at all and he comes out early with a double move with true freshman qb. Not a shocked that they bit on it. Why wouldn’t they? Lol

Take away our extremely lucky busted coverage on the Callaway deep ball...the game was not close man. We had a good quarter and a half, which was encouraging, but this was a blowout that just took a little longer to get started than we expected.
Busted coverage doesn’t matter the previous 4 games...no one to exploit it. Honestly think yesterday’s team loses to Georgia State?

I just can’t even believe it.

The purpose of an in/out and up is to get the defender to bite. It worked to perfection. I guess we could just run really predictable routes to give the defense more even footing, but I kind of like seeing our guys blow past a defender

These words stink coming out of my face, but Mullen is impressing me.

He came out with Jones and was still aggressive, immediately taking a shot downfield. He is so good at creating mismatches and having dudes wide open everywhere. His goofy positive demeanor probably keeps the team in good spirits.

I don’t know if this has been stated but I think If Cimaglia hits that field goal and we go into half down 20-17 rather than 26-14, the 3rd may have looked different. That was a huge momentum shifter.
I looked over at my brother in law and told him our kicker was really good, so I fully expected him to miss it

Yea i mean that’s what i was saying before. Can you blame Georgia for biting on the move? Lol. I didn’t even know that was in our arsenal.

He may not be some elite QB prospect but his ability to extend plays with his legs and move the pocket just like he did on that play even if it’s only for an extra second or two...could be the difference in this season being a total failure to halfway decent.

Thought the same thing, the moment it happened.

It’s as if Gainesville isn’t Starkville.

Yep, the difference between the Florida game and the Georgia game was basically like three plays we hit on offense.

Better still if they had called the blatant p.i. just before that, on Callway getting shoved down.
