I've watched part of a wet lab at a legal education course, so similar to what you're describing. The problem with breath tests is their inherent unreliability depending on the person. They approximate actual blood alcohol concentration well in some people and not others. Gender, metabolic rate, absorption rate, weight, the way the test is administered, and certain diseases can throw the results off by quite a bit.I meant .10%, you quoted me before I edited it.
And yes I agree, .10% is more than 3 beers for Norton. Have you ever had a bac test? I haven’t but I’ve witnessed some with 100% knowledge on what and how much was drank. .10% is more than you think and way more than 5 for a 285lb guy.
