if its under 30, UGA covers.
huh? isn't it GA -25 right now? opened at -22....the line is going up cause the money is coming in on GA blowing us out. they're trying to get more money on TN..........

or am i missing something....??

I think this is how it's going down, too.

It's one thing to be able to humiliate your opponent on the field. But it's ruthless to actively encourage things that demoralize the fanbase (i.e. orchestrating the recruits OVs, "red-out" the stadium, etc.)

Foot on throat. I hope we would do the same thing.

Maybe someday.

Inheriting three 1st round picks on D, including a 6'6 edge rusher with verified 4.4 speed. And a senior battle tested QB. How many games did he win again? Sounds like Butch Jones lite

Maybe and after this past week there is reason to be concerned but considering Butch was way better than Pruitt to this point i don’t think you are making the best argument.

Perhaps neither coach has shown there are ready for their prospective jobs is the better angle to take

Which prospects are you talking about this weekend?
i don't know of any specifically, and wouldn't expect to. just saw some of that on the interwebz. the whole thing with the red/black checkering of neyland and some chatter about UGA prospects doing the same thing to TN that htey did FL earlier in the year....

like i said, it was more of a 'word is' type deal.......

Think we will at least break out the orange pants for the Georgia game? Ive been rewatching the 2016 Florida game and idc what yall think those smokey grays & the checkerboard stadium gave this team juice now we just have garbage black cleats & a trash QB
Are the black cleats making the QB trash?! Give JG some white or orange cleats....let's try something. He is trying to break up with us, but Pruitt won't let him break up with us just yet.

I'm not sure where I stand on that. I know how miserable this feels, and I know that there are decent people that are a part of every fanbase...not sure I'd wish this on any decent person.

Not a fan of the black cleats, I like white cleats with the O&W. Also liked the Smokey Greys and the black outline on the numbers for the white uniform.

I'm sure there will be a little of that going on but let's also be really honest about what Kirby is doing. He has in fact turned his back on some of the guys we're going after and then turned the heat back on some of them here recently. Most kids now days are smart enough to see what he's doing.

We'll still end up with guys who want to build something from scratch and he'll end up with guys who want what's already built.

well, if there's any good news, it's that no one really expects us to win or be all that competitive. it's not exactly an unknown as to where GA is compared to us.

so from an expectation level for commits, i don' think this game necessarily matters...would be nice not to get embarassed, but overall, i don't think there's any unrealistic expectations regarding this particular game.

our season regarding recruiting is really going to boil down to how we do against MSU, USCE, Vandy, UK, UAB and MO.

we're just gonna have bite down hard, and grin and bear it this weekend......and see what we can do with the lesser bulldogs the following week........
I’m not so sure I agree. We’re trying to recruit guys and sell them they we’re running the same systems as Georgia and Alabama and they should come here because of it. If you don’t look competitive vs. those schools then it undermines your whole argument.

I honestly don’t think recruits look at win total so much as they look at competitiveness. And unfortunately looking tough against Kentucky and Vanderbilt doesn’t put us in the recruiting tier we need to be in to make up ground.

How has Butch proved better than Pruitt? By not having a 25 count limit on his swing classes?

and shoop....having those two at MSU together has worked out ok so far.

them failing will have more to do with MSU being MSU. early returns have been good for both.
yea i mean that program like many others has a ceiling. Really the only way to go above it is to get a generational QB and Mullen got that in Dak.

yeah, i mean it is what it is right now. siap, from a prospect/commit standpoint, it's not like there's been a bunch of unrealistic expectations placed on this game. i think most are pretty aware of where we are compared to UGA.

so i don't think the result of this game matters all that much to be honest......

It gets lost a lot of times that Florida hires and fires coaches just as much as we do. They just do it better, even in their “failures”.

I don’t disagree. And until they hired Mullen, they have hired the same type of coaches that we have. It’s been my point all along. Not much difference between a Butch Jones and Jim McElwain and a Jeremy Pruitt and Will Muschamp.

well, a big part of that sell is being able to come here and get on the field faster than you can at UGA or Bama. that won't go away no matter the result. we're not just selling "system" alone.

and again, it's not like anyone is expecting us to go out there and do much....the book is written so to speak.

if we get drilled...well, err'body said that was going to happen, we've heard it all week and shocker....it happened.

if we hold our own and do make it a game, then we don't hurt ourselves.

obviously you'd like to not get embarrassed on national tv at night at home...............that's not desireable....lol

but it's also not really going to be a surprise either....

Ah the vague “window”! Never have to specify what candidate we’re missing out on by waiting more than two seasons. Message board phenomena known as “Hillbillying”.
Coming from one of Butch Jones' loudest cheerleaders, I'd consider almost any point of agreement between yourself and myself to be an insult to my intelligence.

Guys I normally just park across Henley and walk to the game a little before kickoff, but want to get there early and just take the whole day in Saturday. I haven't done that in a few years, and the game probably won't be that enjoyable so I'd like to enjoy everything before kickoff. I'm looking for recommendations on parking that I can do a small amount of tailgating and be fairly close to go to Vol Walk, etc. Thanks.

I only go about once a year. But we have had good experiences with parking at Church Street Methodist Church or at the hospital in the fort. Both have good lots to tailgate and restrooms.

You aren’t going to get much closer than that unless you go real early.

yep. they don't have that now. and the defense is not as good as it was last year....they're a very average football team this year....which is about what i expected for them.

they can make a living in starkville going to 6-6 to 8-4 every year.

It’s very simple. Butch was winning games in his first 2 years and Pruitt isn’t

Doesn’t mean who will be better but it’s a fact butch did better in his first 16 games.
Butch was able to bring in about 15 more kids than Pruitt. Looking at guys like Bryce, Toot & Crouch I'm sure a extra 15 Pruitt recruits would do wonders right now. Butch inherited a top 10 offensive line and still couldn't reach a Bowl. Jeremy has the rest of the season to go 6-6 and tie Butch's 2 year gold standard you've created.

I’m with all of it. I just don’t think the losses are “baked in” like some have said. The coaches aren’t telling recruits they’re going to get their heads beat in this weekend and the casual fan expects a semi-competitive product every week.

I’ve seen it myself both on this website and in real life - people get more irate with each loss. Acceptance of where we are as a program is easy to remember from a distance. It isn’t so easy watching your favorite team look like a JV team vs a program you used to regularly beat.
