So let’s just say we find something in the Bye Week and give UGA a minor scare (like we did last year) L 38-27

Miss St rolls in and we put together 4 good quarters. W 31-23

We go to Bama for the yearly blood letting. L 44-18

South Carolina comes town and we Scratch our an ugly one W 19-17

After a sloppy first half, homecoming is a relative breeze against UAB W 38-17

Kentucky doesn’t figure out their QB situation and we emerge from Lexington with the W 20-16

Another bye week to prepare for the Dooltabby’s offense.

CoMo in late November and win a thriller W 40-38

Thanksgiving and Vandy comes to town to face a revitalized and confident Vols steamroller W 31-18

Boom 7-5

You are the most glass half full optimist EVER. 🤪🤩🤗

He didn't call then fat dumb and soft.... Imagine if Pruitt had said that exact same quote...it would have sounded like this..my players done got so fat on their mommas cornbread and they is all so dang dum that i think thar bellies is more softer than our coon dog Smokey’s butthole.

FYP.

Saw this in the FF forum. Film breakdown that shows how Florida worked us...

Didn’t watch the whole video but the basic gist is something we’ve talked about all year: once you make our linebackers read and react we are toast.

Every team is going to RPO us to death until we fix it. To’o To’o will get better at this with more playing time. The others I’m not so sure about. Bituli should know better by now.

there is a solution to this tho. Sign a QB in one of your 2 classes that is ready to come in and play.
QB recruiting has changed to where most of the good QBs are normally committed at least a year or more before their signing day.

Pruitt was lucky to even sign a QB his 1st class. He arrived at UT 2 weeks before early signing day. Helton convinced Pruitt to take flyer on Shrout in the 2018 class because of his strong arm. Maurer was also Helton's guy in Pruitt's 2019 class. By the time Chaney was hired to replace Helton, all the good QBs from the 2019 class were already committed. Bailey actually committed to Pruitt when we didn't even have an OC. Chaney has since convinced Bailey to stay on board.

The only thing that matters now is how he handles the current catch-22 QB situation in the future.

Allowed? Lol

Of course. If you’re going to switch to an offense that doesn’t fit your QB you then you better have someone that it does or at least tweak it to his strengths and we’ve done neither.
Not taking away any blame from JG but he is what he is and the coaches had a full season of him to see that. They knew last year he couldn’t make these throws that this offense is centered around

His QB threw 9 tds last week and Grinch has been gone long enough that he’s now the DC in Oklahoma.... What else you got?

The point was that a program like Wash state or any other bottom tier program in a P5. Doesn’t just go out and hire a better coordinator if one leaves. Not rocket surgery

@SLICKYINC lol, I was like...

It’s not excuses lol. That should’ve never lost to UCLA that’s pathetic. But when you’re at a low resource program. You can’t really “reload”. You only get a few great players and assistants and they are gone before you know it.
That sounds like excuses.

not it’s just hilarious the people who don’t like leach (which is fine who cares)
are like boom! Got ya! The moment they lose a game or two. Completely forgetting they are Washington state and not supposed to be at the top of the pac 12 and that they will be be going bowling and would absolutely carve our team up lol.
but yea boom! They lost to a good Utah team lol

Keep hearing that WS is bottom tier but never seen where they actually tell Leach he can’t go out and hire a good DC.

But his team did go out last night and score 13 points, I’m sure a better DC could have helped that....

I like Leach, a lot. But the point is, he wouldn’t make it at UT. We’d be right here right now blasting the dude for being 1-3 this season.

But why let facts get in the way right? So much easier to just say should have.

Knowing what @Bassmaster_Vol, @Ron Swanson, and others have said in this thread regarding Pruitt we MUST as a fanbase support and give this team the best chance to get back on the right track. That means not allowing those UGAly fans to take over Neyland. I have some thoughts on the matter. If you already have tickets: go. If you can buy tickets for cheap: go. If someone is giving them to you for free: go. If you are selling them because yo honestly can't make it: sell them to another UT fan. I understand how annoying/frustrating it has been the past 10 years, but think about what would happen if this fanbase truly rallied behind Pruitt and showed recruits how awesome it is to have a fanbase like UT fans? Even though we are losing and in a bad place and we showed that much support. It would extremely help Pruitt in recruiting. So here is my suggestion: go.

We can’t go so I gave our 4 tickets to a Vol fan/employee at work. I had two stipulations though after the first person we offered insinuated they sure could sell them for a lot of money: wink, wink. They have to wear orange/white and they have to text me pics of themselves from the seats.

I agree somewhat but I don't think we'd be 1-3. I think he's a coach that does more with less. I don't think he'd be a long-term success here.

leach has never been at a school where he can recruit elite athletes but has done pretty well, his system has trickled up to Okla and a few others like Baylor which has set records. The old ball control offense works just fine when you can out athlete other teams, but those days are quickly fading. If he coached at UT the athletes would start coming and in 5 years nobody would look forward to playing us. Look at the Tony Franklin system and how it changed Texas HS football, where teams with no business being in the playoffs were winning state titles
He set SEC records as a coordinator at lowly , perennial bottom feeder Kentucky. We should have hired him when we canned Fulmer
